Is racing not at the stage in the UK where a step back needs to be taken to ask "Why are we in a position where we are relying on poxy little gaming machines to fund us".
Is there one innovative mind in Govt or the sport that can come up with an alternative?
"They want to stop giving us a hiding and realise what we contribute"
@DSkeltonRacing provides his reaction to the news of the Machine Games Duty rise...
Oh.. There's the ability. He will probably go under the radar until he goes up in trip

3 for @Handy_Andy96 at @LeopardstownRC today!
Singles (unless the first one wins) & E/W Trixie.
3:42 Cowardofthecounty 12/1 - Anyone that's listened to our pods this season know I've been harping on about Cowardofthecounty needing to at least attempt 10f. Well, here we are! Despite him being as about as popular as the TV license inspector at your front door in the market, he can't be left alone today. His peak form this season puts him bang there in this field.
4:12 Dark Viper 8/1 - Only one bad run to his name at this track. Ran out an easy winner here in July before suffering some interference at the Curragh and probably had his finishing speed blunted over 12f at Dundalk. He's only 2lb above that seemless victory in July and should give a good account of himself off top weight here today.
4:42 Too Boosy For Us 12/1 - Excellent run when third in the Petingo here in September. stood little chance in the Irish Cesarwitch on heavy ground over a trip that stretches him on the flat. Assuming that run didn't leave it's mark, he should be going very close here with conditions to suit.
Bonus horse to keep an eye on 👇🏻
It's worth keeping tabs on Echoing Silence as she makes her chasing debut at Limerick today. I was blown away by her first two hurdles starts before it all went south in the spring. I expect her to resume progress over fences. Happy to let her win at a shade of odds on today, although I expect she's a mare that will be one of the top novices come the spring time.

Not quite 100/1 this year, but 66/1 will hopefully suffice 🤣
Is there a 100/1 winner in here?
Tune into @Handy_Andy96 & @dec_car on #TAP172 to hear what they think of the big weekend in @LimerickRaces and the "best race of the weekend"
Also a quick run through Ascot Sunday

Whatever about the track itself and problems that came up last season, but it's hard to make a case that the XC course is fit for purpose.
Races canceled and moved far too often
❌ There will be no Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham's November meeting, per @HonestFrank.
The race will be rescheduled for Trials Day in January.
Hope @BarstewardsThe held on to some receipts!
The opinion would become unanimous pretty fast if they were offered the ride on a gelding that was fav for the Arc 🤣
Not a bad auld purchase at 55k... Saxon Warrior still a criminally under rated sire.
I wonder if they'll keep Green Empress to French classics next year
That's about the worst case scenario for Ebony King 🤢🤮 Maybe a sign to just not punt today 🤣
Clearly a very nice horse. Down Royal handicap probably out the window too... @TakeAPullpod
Listowel is the real return of the jumps. Let's call a spade a spade here.
You see far better horses, as well as races over fences
❌ There will be NO Chase races at the Welsh Racing Festival @Chepstow_Racing jumps season opener due to the ground.
👍 The card will be made up of 19 hurdle races and two bumpers.

We are back tonight!
While @Handy_Andy96 is away so @dec_car is hosting & @Lukekeena1 is ready with the winners for @DundalkStadium & @ListowelRaces
Hopefully you'll be able to hear them over the porn music
Not the first time either. 11 day ban, but you get to keep the race. This stuff can't be let off that lightly.
