You don't hate this regime enough. Covering up the deaths of our service members is a new low.
Radel: What do you make of Trumpβs broad approach to AI, calling concerns about it a hoax, saying that anybody, any community that doesnβt want a data center is backwards and dumb?
Spanberger: I think his position on this is like his position on every other issue. Itβs not based in fact. Itβs not based in thoughtful reflection. And it is likely influenced by whichever billionaire spoke to him last.
Ballou: Itβs possible that there was just a blanket procedure not to produce documents that related to Donald Trump. I donβt want to get ahead of our skis here, but it does seem like they have repeatedly mentioned that there was withholding based on executive privilege, which just makes no sense.

A federal whistleblower just revealed the 'Unlawful Voter Initiative' β hundreds of DHS agents deployed to scour state voter rolls hunting for noncitizens, built on a fixation about voter fraud that decades of research says barely exists. It's happening 50 days before the midterms Republicans already admit they're losing.
Agents work under a quota: 40 voter records reviewed per 8-hour shift, just 12 minutes each to determine someone's citizenship and voting history. To search state systems, they impersonated individual voters β plugging in stolen birthdates and partial Social Security numbers to get into lookup portals meant only for a voter checking their own status. Virginia's system explicitly restricts it to that. This isn't a gray area.
DHS's own chief counsel's office called the searches 'permissible,' then quietly told agents they wouldn't be 'personally liable' as long as the searches were 'properly documented.' Lawyers don't pre-emptively promise cover for legal activity β that sentence is DHS's own admission of exposure.
The underlying data is so unreliable it's already flagging actual U.S. citizens as 'unlawful voters,' including naturalized citizens whose old immigration file numbers never get erased. In the whistleblower's own words, the process is 'knowingly sweeping known U.S. citizens in as potentially unlawful voters.'
Schumer and Padilla are now demanding DHS halt the program. But the real risk isn't just wrongly flagged voters β it's Trump using this manufactured 'fraud' data as a pretext to challenge results in November if Republicans lose. Federal agents are building the very crisis they claim to be investigating.

Ken Paxton and the State of Texas Murdered Tierra Walker
Tierra Walker asked to live.
That is the sentence that should have been enough. She was 37, a mother, a wife, a daughter who took care of her own mother, a woman who worked three kinds of jobs and still made a life. The pregnancy was wanted. She said so. She also said, as the seizures came and the clots formed and her blood pressure tried to kill her, that she did not think she would survive it. She had already lost twins to preeclampsia. She knew the shape of this disease. She asked doctors to end the pregnancy so she could stay on earth for the son who still needed her.
They told her the baby was fine.
The baby was 20 weeks old and could not live outside her body. She could. Preeclampsia does not care about anyone's politics. Its treatment is not a debate club. The treatment is delivery. At that gestation, delivery is an abortion. In a functioning hospital in a functioning country, that is called emergency medicine. In Texas it had been recoded as a risk to the doctor's license, liberty, and future. So they wrote notes. They said she was at high risk of deterioration and death. They treated the number on the cuff and sent the woman home.
On December 30, 2024, her son found her lifeless on his birthday.
Do not look away from that. Do not sand it into "a complicated case." A child should not become an orphan because grown professionals were more afraid of Ken Paxton than of a mother dying in her own bed. Paxton did not have to hold the discharge papers. He helped build the machine that made discharge the coward's safest option: a near-total ban, a paper-thin exception, penalties savage enough to teach every obstetrician in the state that hesitation is cheaper than courage. The GOP took the power Dobbs handed them and used it to drag emergency care backward β not to the era before ultrasound, but to the era when a pregnant woman's life was negotiable.
Tierra Walker was not collateral. She was the point at which a slogan met a body. She was smart and tired and specific. She named the thing that would kill her and asked for the only treatment that stops it. They had magnesium. They had antihypertensives. They had an operating room. What they did not have was the will to treat her as the patient and human being.
Her family has now done the last thing a family should have to do. They filed suit to prove what any honest clinician already knows: a woman who can still be saved is not a vessel you get to gamble with.
Tierra Walker told them exactly what was coming. She was right β and if not for Ken Paxton and the State of Texas, she would still be alive.

This is SICK!
Donald Trump is threatening to hold disaster relief hostage based on how people vote.
This UN-AMERICAN PRESIDENCY ENDS on November 3rd.
Trump: "We spent more than $2 billion in FEMA funding. You're waiting for some additional funding. I'm gonna get that to you. Now if Michael loses, I'm not sending it."
