Here are seven truths I know about recruiting:
1. Fit matters more than hype.
2. Development matters more than promises.
3. Your role matters more than the logo.
4. Relationships matter when adversity arrives.
5. Money must be considered—but it cannot be the only consideration.
6. Every opportunity has a cost.
7. The wrong decision can delay a career that the right decision would accelerate.
Recruiting has changed.
Human nature has not.

A lot of the basketball training you see for kids heading into their freshman year of college simply doesn’t translate to the college game. Freshmen need to be elite at the basics: catch-and-shoot, scoring in two dribbles or less, defending at a high level, and being physically and mentally prepared to compete every possession. That’s what earns minutes.
Four days away.
Come experience a college practice, learn from our entire coaching staff, and show us how you compete, communicate, and respond to coaching.
Registration is still open for Friday’s Elite Camp! #GoFire
🚨 Elite Camp 1 WEEK AWAY! 🚨 Don’t wait, register now & we’ll see you on the court! 🔥🦊 #D3Hoops
An account is impersonating a Knox Basketball coach and contacting PSAs.
Myself, @RJ11Jackson, and @thompson23_chad are the only Knox Basketball coaches who recruit. Any recruiting communication or offers to join our program will come directly from us.

Last week, Knox College hosted the Basketball Future Fire Youth Camp! Local students brought their best to skill sessions, team play, competitions, and speed & agility training with our coaching staff and players!
ALT Young kids playing basketball in a gym, with one boy holding the ball while others raise their hands to block him.
ALT Two children playing basketball indoors, one dribbling the ball while the other defends, with a third child watching nearby.
ALT Coach giving a high-five to a young basketball player on an indoor court with wooden bleachers in the background.
ALT Young girl holding a basketball preparing to pass while two boys defend her on an indoor gym court.
Some great stuff from @MattJonesHoops on the podcast! Discipline and toughness on the little things might not show a huge payoff by itself, but added up makes the difference at an elite level!
“The catch is part of the shot.”
International Coach Matt Jones joined us this week for a great conversation on:
• Developing Shooters
• Coaching as an Introvert
• Teaching Players to find the next action
