NEW OPERATOR FOR HRRG, REPLACING IDVERDE
On 1 November, the Merton Council transferred the maintenance management contract for HRRG from Idverde to Glendale Services (glendale-services.co.uk/). This followed a tender process run 12 months ago.
The decision was made by the council in January but they have waited until now to publicise it. Glendale is an award-winning management contractor and is responsible for the parks of Kingston, Lewisham and Westminster.

FESTIVAL RAFFLE PROCEEDS DONATION
The Friends of Haydons Road Recreation Ground, the Battles Area Residents Association and Abraham Chowdhury from Somnium this morning attended the depot of the Dons Local Action Group to present a cheque for £665.50
This was the proceeds of the raffle from the South Wimbledon Summer Festival, held on the park in June.
We saw presentation about how donations such as this are used, with food and all kinds of other products or pre-loved items being passed on to families in need nearby, helped by a large - but always willing to expand - team of volunteers. @DonsLocalAction for more information
