I’ve got my eye on the nearly 50 bu yield response for choosing a more tolerant hybrid! 👀 hybrid selection and fungicide will be top 2 management considerations moving forward with tar spot. I’m a fan of V10+R1 or VT fb R2/R3 if needed. V5 too early IMO.

This is dryland, Croplan 5115 VT2P/RIB in Syracuse, Nebraska. Sprayed with Delaro + Masterlock + Tundra Supreme at R1. I started removing leaves after pollination finished.

Tar spot easy to find in areas of MI that have had pressure in the past. All this wet weather has pushed it along. It's being found at low severity (few lesions per plant), but in some fields many plants have a lesion @DTelenko @badgercropdoc @AlbertTenuta @alisonrISU @kmbiss
