No Rarity - Unofficial 1st Edition Japanese Released in October 20 1996 with people estimating ~53 days print run. (data courtesy of the forum users at Elitefourum) The first pokemon official set print run was released with various errors before being corrected soon after thus making it an unofficial 1st edition. The name No Rarity is due to the signature Rarity symbol missing in the bottom right. Booster pack wise (won’t discuss packs) they can only find them in the 291 yen packs vs the 300 yen packs released April 1, 1997. Even then the chances of finding a no rarity in a 291 yen pack is < 1% now a days. Initially pokemon cards sold quite slowly which is why today we ended up with such a small supply of No Rarity (posted my data in the holo population). Most of the Holos have had < 500 graded in totality! I totally forgot to write a proper post on the genre despite discussing it for months but felt it’s about right as Logan clearly has shown interest in the origins of Pokemon and he has mentioned No Rarity before in the clip i am posting. There is also only 1 Raichu PSA 10 in existance so making this the second hardest set to master set in a PSA 10 after the Corocoro Set which has 0 PSA 10 Ivy Pikachus.

[Old Work] #PokemonTCG I drew it #MitsuhiroArita
Before Charizard ate the timeline, Venusaur was already a Base Set pillar. This is Venusaur. Base Set #15/102. Rare Holo. Illus. Mitsuhiro Arita. English Wizards of the Coast release, January 9, 1999. Base Set’s Grass Stage 2 sits in the original Kanto starter trio with Charizard and Blastoise: 100 HP, Pokémon Power Energy Trans for moving Grass Energy around, Solarbeam for 60. Unlimited is the copy most people actually handle; 1st Edition / shadowless are different conversations — and I’m not inventing print runs or grades here. Collector hook: if you’re building a vintage wall, Venusaur is the green corner next to Blastoise #2 and the obvious fire chase. Hot take — Arita’s Base Set #15 still reads cleaner on a shelf than a lot of modern Venusaur spectacle cards. No Tera gem, no SIR frame — just the flower canopy and that early WotC holo strip. Which Base Set holo are you still hunting — Venusaur #15, Blastoise #2, or something quieter like Hitmonchan? #PokemonTCG #BaseSet #Venusaur #WotC #VintageTCG #TCGCommunity #CardCollecting

No Rarity Pop Report 31/10/26 - No New PSA 10s in last 6 months - Average New Gem Rate 13.4% - Average Increase in pop 7.15 per day - Ninetales PSA 8/9 reduced Stats are all slightly down but above the average of last 6 month which I guess reflects the attention hype No Rarity is starting to attract. Guessing some Ninetales PSA 8/9 were mis-labelled which happens a lot actually so they were removed from the registry Not surprising to see finally some Raichu and Chanseys being graded… these are true gems of the set and are very low pop. Still believe total pop report will plateau around ~10,000 which is such a small population for a 16 set card.
No Rarity Pop Report 06/10/26 - No New PSA 10s - Average New Gem Rate 13.8% - Average Increase in pop 7.5 per day A big jump in grading highest since I started recording however quality is dropping back to the usual 10-15% range. Despite the increase in gradding think we plateau before we hit 10,000 No Rarity total population.

Teflon Fanatics Night Raider With all the news about fake pokemon cards, guess I am a lucky i’m too poor to afford PSA 10s 🤣. Fake cards typically is just about economics, printing cards in non-mass is extremely expensive so maybe this is not a major issue yet. Cracking slabs is a slightly different issue but i’m sure the market will figure out how to deal with this. Fanatics Not sure why Fanatics is getting all the slack, people already mention E-bay, ALT etc… have also the same issue. All my dealing with Fanatics has been very positive. Once received a crack card, they credited me the reholdering fee and guarenteed a full reimbursement of any difference if the slab was graded down during the process. If anything I’d be looking to deal more through Fanatics/ALT/PSA than say at a tradeshow. At least through these companies you have some form of recourse, they have a reputation to protect and their reputation effectively is their business. Lose the trust and they go out of business. Its just game theory. Tradeshow bad deals Vendors don’t have the funds to absorb the losses so you are honestly just out of luck 99% of the time. - Sorry bro… deals done, no take backs. - Na bro… that wasn’t the cert I sold you
PSA 9 Night Raider I own ZERO PSA 10s. Yeah you heard me, the only PSA 10 I currently hold is my friend’s wedding present and i’m already thinking should i trade it for something else 🤣🤦‍♂️. If you deal in Vintage… scrap this modern concept of only PSA 10s unless you have literally fk you money… or maybe you’re a vendor who can buy substantially below market. Realistically for normies we should be dealing in the more liquid stuff my guess of this is psa 7-9 for main stream sets and for the lower total pop promos etc you should venture even into lower grades. Raws are ALWAYS a good option and should not be ignored, they often perform even better actually. I went to my first trade show in 5 months, I was shocked to see how much raw there was relative to slabs. There is just not enough slabs to go around. Which says something about non-modern cards. My brother-in-law nicknamed me the PSA 9 Night Raider. But one look at the premiums of PSA 10s for me they just arn’t justifiable for me and i have no interest in aura or flex of holding PSA 10s. I was offered some Corocoro PSA 10s at 7-8x a PSA 9. Na sorry i ain’t paying that. I’ll wait for a cool off in the makret and i’m sure the premiums will revert to 3-4x. I have mentioned this before somewhere - Bull Market Premiums. And there is no where more obvious about this the high tier low pop PSA 10 Vintages.

No Rarity - Pikachu PSA 10 Despite not being the first Pikachu, it is the OG base main set Pikachu from a set that has very limited print. I always believed the argument between Corocoro Pikachu and No Rarity Pikachu were ridiculous… they are both historically significant in different ways. - I sadly faded No Rarity Pikachu 🥲 Corocoro - First Exclusive/Promotion No Rarity - Main Set OG There is currently one on auction and it’ll be something to watch. Last sold I believe was about 100k and with the recent interest in No Rarity I expect this should be a new record sale. A few No Rarity Auctions for sale this week that will be my entertainment for the week🍿. The pikachu despite being the least rarest of the bunch will definitely be the highlight tho. Populations Pikachu - 89 Venusaur - 65 Hitmonchan - 64 Clefairy - 56

Buy Legacy For me collectibles is always very risky and volatile asset class and this pushes me towards the legacy brands. Im seeing a lot of effectively irrelevant IP who were lost to history being discussed and imo these are all short term hype cycle trades. Good to trade… don’t be a bag holder. Buy cheap-ish random old IP, once they are shilled and attention rotates to that IP… sell them off. Rinse and repeat Liquidity is key… unlike pokemon when the music stops there is no demand below… 📉 So what defines a legacy IP? - Still alive today - Still have a future roadmap - Backed by a strong company - Next generation exposure Some examples Mario ✅ Sonic ❌ Sega already lost the battle in the 90s for iconic gaming figures. Mickey Mouse ✅ Toy story ❌ Who knows if and when toy story movies drop being made, it doesn’t feel evergreen. Pokemon ✅ Digimon ❌ LOL I may be wrong on Toy Story who knows The same concept can be said for certain pokemon set too 🤣 just on a different level. Just know you are going down the risk curve now. Pokemon/Mario/Disney is Bitcoin Random historical IP are Shitcoins

Corocoro Gang youtu.be/qK3vyzzhquI?is=6nF6… -New logan video - 21 minute Corocoro related… see you all in 2 days! While Corocoro Ivy Pikachu Gang remains in the ICU after it’s meteoric rise. Don’t let the headliner card distract you from whats happening below. Many Corocoro in fact are selling near all time highs. Corocoro exhibits a lot of traits that makes this category special - Glossy Styles (discontinued) - Magazine promos - Many Exclusive arts - Rookie cards (Mew, Togepi, Jigglypuff) - Peel-able - Conditionally low pops (Very low pop PSA 8-9-10s) - Limited prints Provided 4 examples below but there are likely many others. I still do expect Japanese Vintage to get some love after English has already gone parabolic and many Corocoro should benefit largely. I look to buy when there is blood on the street. *Regarding Ivy Pikachu I expect these will require several more months of consolidation… mid-high grades look the most interesting to me.
Japanese Pokemon finally Looking Ready? As a primarily Japanese exclusive collector, I can say the vast majority of cards cards in the last 6 months have actually gone lower. Some sets did better such as No Rarity, Vending Series, Grail Rares etc… however those are the outliers. My gut says pokemon hasn’t peaked, and more likely we will see consolidation and broadening of breadth. Everyone you speak to will say all Vintage is at all time highs… the data begs to differ. It was a primarly English rally only. Some examples i found consolidating and below 2026 highs: Pokepark’s Pikachu PSA 9 - ⬇️ 50% JP Snap Pikachu PSA 9 - ⬇️ 20% Gameboy Mewtwo PSA 10 - Flat Mt Fuji Pikachu PSA 9 - ⬇️ 30% Noticed other signs like Snkrdunk buybacks being very strong recently. Been a while but plan to go out to some trade shows next 1-2 months to see if I can pick up any bargains. What do you guys think?

ALT App Anyone know how does Alt app deal with unpaid sales? Do they remove it from the sales column? Been watching these for a while and notice finally 2 of the 3 finally lost their pending status. Does this mean they got paid? Actually never believed that surfer sale but hey if someone paid for it 🤷‍♂️

No Rarity - Pokemon TCG Origin Despite Japanese Vintage being down for the last 6 months with many down as much as 10-30%. No Rarity has only gone from strength to strength. Want to know why people are scrambling to obtain them? Read this post i wrote a few months ago. Markets are never wrong, there is a reason collectors pay more for No Rarity Charizard vs English 1st Edition. No Rarity is the Genesis of Pokemon TCG

@Kleza_108 auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auct…

Fanatics show pretty boring… Changed channels to Goldin No Rarity Mewtwo - PSA 10 🍿 👀 🍿
Fanatics Auctions = Market Indicator If you’re not watching the fanatic auctions on Sunday evening you’re missing out on a lot of market data. Fanatic auctions has become a weekly event for all Pokemon and collectible lovers. This week Fanatics made bidding stricter so the prices once again can be more dependable. Despite the skepticism a lot of cards are once again hitting record levels.

No Rarity Has become an Auction Market Sales of No Rarity have slowed this week but I have also noticed the BIN (Buy it Now) listings have also disappeared or repriced much high. Currently the lowest BIN for a PSA 8 Holo is 6.5k Nidoking. My gut is that most sales for the near-term future will be auctions until prices are climb high enough to encourage more listings or people begin listing below current BIN. We have about 5 Auctions coming up this week which will be quite telling as we have some very big hitters. - PSA 10 Mewtwo (Pop 9) - PSA 8 Charizard (last sold 108k confirmed paid) - PSA 8 Alakazam - PSA 8 Machamp - PSA 8 Chansey I’ll be particularly interested where the Mewtwo lands. Any PSA 10s Holo of any kind only sell about every 3-6 months.
