My thoughts on the BC election: • it was 100% unnecessary • I’m not an NDPer but I will be supporting them as they’re the only valid progressive option • BC Con leader Lorne Doerkson appears to be moderate and likeable but his party is swarming with MapleMAGA nitwits

Mr. Doerkson is on the record, in favor of privatizing health clinics. They are looking to copy the UCP. In direct conflict with the Canada Health Act. For me, it is disqualifying.

That’s how the UCP started. Everyone thought Kenney was moderate and semi likeable. The nut bars quickly took over and he couldn’t control them so he just pandered to them. Look where we’re at now. BC you would be idiots to vote Conservative.

Doerkson is not a moderate. He supports privatized health care. He supported the border blockades and the convoy.

I have never voted for a Conservative and never will. They can change their party name 1000x but a Con is still a Con. I'm not thrilled about having another election right now because of the risk factor but I'm voting NDP because it's not the party of maga knuckle draggers.

For the last two years BC has not had a functioning Legislature because the Opposition guns were all pointing at each other. There is no policy idea other than small gov't, low taxes. When Doerkson speaks you can close your eyes and envision a rightwing speech from the 1950s.

I’m hoping the bc greens have a breakthrough election and snag at least 7 seats. The ndp has missed the mark on several key files including but not limited to giving short shrift to environmental protection & their draconian pro-development housing policy is just awful
