Time for California to boycott all things from Nebraska. Source corn elsewhere. Hogs from elsewhere. Do not buy from Nebraska companies.

Hey, @jim_pillen any comment about your Nebraska residents who clapped and cheered when the President said it would be okay to destroy Los Angeles and San Diego? Why not condemn that statement or are you okay with it? Asking for a SD resident.

Claude’s mother sent the parachute to the dry cleaners beforehand. Instead of washing out the bloodstains from Claude's rough landing, the chemicals accidentally baked them in! Even with the hidden stains, on July 19, 1947, Ruth walked down the aisle in one of the most unique bridal gowns in history. The dress became a family heirloom, later worn by both their daughter and daughter-in-law. Today, this breathtaking artifact of wartime survival and family ingenuity is preserved by the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. /3 👰‍♂️

I saw a quote today that has me teary eyed: “Your pet has memorized the sound of your car pulling up the driveway, your footsteps, the opening of the door, and even the rhythm of your heartbeat. You are their entire world, finally complete once you get home.”

She lost her son, and then the state told her she had killed him, and then it put her in a cell to die for it. Her nine-month-old son stopped breathing. She ran to a neighbour, tried CPR the way she had seen it done, and drove him to the hospital. He died. Mississippi charged her with his murder and sentenced her to death. She was eighteen. Sabrina Butler. The bruising on the baby's body was from her attempts to resuscitate him. The prosecution presented it as a beating. No one told her she had the right to remain silent in any way she understood. She gave a statement trying to explain what she had done, and it was used against her. Her trial lasted a matter of days. The jury took less than an hour. She was sent to death row at nineteen, pregnant with her second child, and gave birth in custody. The Mississippi Supreme Court overturned the conviction in 1992. At the retrial in 1995, medical evidence showed the child had died of a kidney condition — a documented illness, not an injury. She was acquitted in about twenty minutes. Sabrina Butler is the first woman in the United States ever exonerated from death row. Mississippi has never compensated her. She now speaks publicly against the death penalty. She has said the hardest part was never the cell. It was that for five years nobody would let her grieve. Sabrina Butler’s case is the kind of buried injustice that helped inspire our Ebook, 150 Crimes Against Black America They Never Answered For—because some of our stories leave questions that still deserve answers. 40 broodmares age 16 and older are cataloged for the 2026 Keeneland November Sale, and 23 are in Book 5. Visibility is protection. mareworthy.com/news-and-reso… With more than half in the final book, Mareworthy is working to keep these mares visible and help buyers plan for their retirement. We want their names to reach former owners, breeders, trainers, caregivers, and fans who may recognize a mare they remember and want to be part of her future. We’re also making a commitment: Mareworthy will guarantee a retirement spot for any of the six cataloged mares age 18 and older after her foal is weaned in 2027. Interested buyers should reach out to discuss retirement planning before purchasing. Read the article, look through the full watchlist, and share it with someone who might recognize a name. A connection made today could help a mare find a home that plans for her tomorrow. Contact info@mareworthy.com if you recognize a mare, are considering purchasing her, or can help with her future. #mareworthy #mareworthycharities #keeneland
