Another world class achievement for SA. For the third year we have won best of show at the Chelsea flower show, the World Cup of horticulture. You can see the recreated exhibit at Lifestyle. It is magnificent. At R250 a bit expensive but money goes for a good cause. Another small brick in the wall!

Cloned a quagga this time. Extinct since 1883. There’s something surreal about seeing it move through the museum where it’s on display.
First look at the new @Simulon. Pt 1: You can clone reality now. I photographed a vulture in a museum. Pulled it out of the display and brought it to life. You can turn any photo into a neural asset and capture it with photorealistic detail. End to end on iPhone and Android.

Spanish archeologists have found 226 human-related objects in 12 abandoned ancient vulture’s nests. The items stolen by the vultures include a slingshot, a crossbow bolt and a 670-year-old shoe.

It's Silent Movie Day! Did you know not all silent films were black and white? Color processes like Kinemacolor were shown as early as 1909, and film was tinted and colored by hand even earlier. Here are some examples of early silent films in color from the Library's National Screening Room!
