Another medical journal article that “raises questions”. Journal of the AMA, 10/13/26, Number 14 “Characteristics of Patients Choosing Intravenous Moderate Sedation for IUD placement.” Main author, Armide Storey, MD with 7 co-authors Doctor Storey’s interest is in Queer and Trans Obstetric care. Funding by Planned Parenthood Complex Family Planning Projects. Fellowships include advanced training in “Uterine Evacuation”. i.e. Abortion. Problem: They want to know which types of women choose IV sedation over local anesthetic for IUD placement. Not sure why. It doesn’t change anything, it’s an individual’s choice. Findings: 20% of 1324 patients chose IV sedation. Nulliparous women were 10% more likely to choose IV sedation as were people with depression and anxiety, by 20%, 3X more likely with pelvic pain history, “self identifying” (what does that mean?) as white by 10% and non-cisgender (gay?) chose IV sedation by 2 to 1. They added that White privilege caused people to choose the IV and that non cis-gender (gay?) women taking testosterone were more likely to choose IV sedation. They speculated that “marginalized” women were less likely to take the IV due to barriers ,though this is not proven. That’s their conclusion. Barriers. Overcoming barriers. My Analysis: The authors don’t trust “ marginalized” women to decide for themselves. Being labeled as marginalized does not mean one is stupid with no free will. At my first reading I was perplexed. Is this an absurd joke? Why are gay women getting IUDs? Why are women on testosterone getting IUDs? Why are they bringing in White privilege and marginalization? After I read the bios on the authors I understood better. They’re seeking a political solution to a non problem. Second post in a series on woke, far left medical journals. I did not have to look far for this one. It’s in the exact same issue of the New England Journal of Medicine as my first post in the series NEJM, 9/10/26, Volume 395, No. 10. This is unvarnished leftist activism. Same theme, white men are responsible for all health disparities and third world madness. In the “Perspective” section. “When fear became the barrier to care-Lessons of a Clinical Rapid Response during Operation Metro Surge” Authors: Munita Maalimisaq, Nurse Practioner, DEI advocate in healthcare, Special envoy to Somalia for health and nutrition. Jennifer Needle-Suarez. One of the rare white graduates of Howard University medical school, specializes in health equity. Problem: When Homeland Security deployed to Minneapolis in December of 2025 Illegal (they call them undocumented) migrants stayed in hiding during the enforcement action. The fear spread beyond illegals to others who were afraid of the officers. They rely on ultra left NGO, Human Rights Watch, for this bit of information; George Soros funded to the tune of $100million dollars. They claim the officers acted in a racist, arbitrary and violent way, thus the illegals and seemingly some non illegals stayed home “for weeks at a time” without food and medical care. Apparently the staying home without food caused some to get malnutrition. Their solution: Close your clinic. Get 100 volunteers, “organized using encrypted messaging platforms, often without institutional authorization.” Provide transportation for those who want to remain hidden, and provide home health care. They had less than seven patient encounters a day over four months. “Clinicians did not frame their actions as activism”. They said it was a moral imperative. My solution: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Don’t enter the country illegally. Turn yourself into the officers. You will be fed and given medical care. Do not encourage people to come to the country illegally. Do not blame law enforcement for “triggering fear.” Counsel people to self deport. Counsel people to turn themselves in. Stop overwhelming our hospitals with illegals. It’s the white man’s burden again. Don‘t invoke “moral imperative“ while encouraging law breaking. Conclusion: Left wing political activists manufacture a crisis by encouraging people to break the law and blame law enforcement. Did NEJM editors even read this.

Post 6 in the series on bias in Medical journals. New England Medical Journal again. “Perspective” Volume 395,No. 14, October 8, 2006 “Hantavirus-Lessons Learned….” Authors: Pedro Sanchez, President of Spain and Tedros Adhanon Ghebreyesus, Director General of the WHO. A bit more subtle than other attacks on the USA but the implication is clear. Why an American journal would publish something like this from hostile foreigners beggars the imagination. Problem: Hantavirus outbreak in May 2026 on Dutch cruise ship MV Hondius. The article is self congratulatory and defends their handling of the outbreak. They defend their decision to disembark passengers and sending them home to self isolate. The UK and US wanted more onboard testing. This is the key part of their conclusion. “In a fractured world in which the role of international law and international cooperation is being called into question, the response to this outbreak demonstrated their power and value. The outbreak, and the global response, showed that fear can narrow political choices but strong leadership backed by science, evidence, and compassion can widen them again”. Analysis and Background: Notice they talk about the existence of questioning international law and the presence of fear. What exactly are they talking about? I inferred the USA. Why didn’t they say that directly. Two possible reasons. One is NEJM may have edited that. The other is that the USA dropped out of WHO in January 2025 and wound down by January 2026. WHO is still demanding hundreds of millions despite the USA dropping out. The USA did have good reasons for dropping out. We supported them at the rate of 111 million dollars a year and far more voluntarily. They want the voluntary money too. Why did we drop out? Political bias (see above), delayed response to COVID, lack of transparency and we paid ten times what China did. They conveniently omit the USA’s response to the outbreak. We sent CDC epidemiologists and staff to Tenerife. More than 100 staff were involved. We did medical repatriation, some in onboard bio containment. We quarantined and monitored and there was no spread in the States. My Conclusion: American Medical journals should have more respect for their own country. Pedro Sanchez should not publish articles in the USA moaning about international law while he ignores international law regarding illegal immigration and floods his nation and Europe with unvetted illegal invaders. Finally, why is the Ethiopian, Mr. Ghebreyesus head of the WHO? His own country can’t control Malaria, the citizens have suffered a ten times increase in cases in the last 5 years.

Post 5 critique of anti European bias in medical journals. Lancet again, inequities again. The Lancet Oncology: Volume 27, Issue 10, E545-E507, October 2026. Raffaella Casolino, MD PhD and 58 other authors. Problem: Disparities in research and clinical trials that are concentrated in high income areas with predominantly European ancestry volunteers. Their solution: Be more equitable. No exact plan. My analysis: It seems the whole point is that Europeans are inequitable, how dare they take care of their own. No acknowledgment that there are practical reasons research happens this way. Some of the authors are from S. Korea, China and Japan. There is a huge amount of medical research done in those nations, largely on their own population. No one questions that. Russia too does a lot of research on their own people. It seems a requirement to be published in Lancet to attack European people, including the USA. Where is the world’s gratitude for the remarkable achievements and contributions of European science. To be continued. Merci pour votre intérêt.

Post 4 critique of ultra left, woke medical journals. New England Journal of Medicine again. The gift that keeps on giving. They have a section called “Perspective” that is a uniformly left. Perspective means to judge all sides fairly. They don’t do that. The 9/24/26 issue, Volume 395, No. 11 has 4 essays I will discuss briefly. You decide. First “A Cure Out of Most Patients Reach-Sickle Cell Disease in the Gene-Therapy Era.” By N.I. Aljohani MD and Sultan Almutairi MD, both in Saudi Arabia now but did post doc training in the USA and Canada. Problem: 515,000 children born with sickle cell disease every year, most in sub-Saharan Africa. New miracle gene therapy treatment created that costs 3 million dollars per treatment, and more if you count the infrastructure and staffing needed. This leads them to observe that even low cost, low tech treatments and screening are out of reach and underutilized. Their solution: Healthcare systems should pursue pathways to deployment. That would be 1.545 trillion dollars a year, bankrupting all of sub-Saharan Africa. Alternative, stem-cell transplant from unrelated donors. That’s a problem too, despite the small fraction of the world’s population 75% of donors are European. The article continues. Admittedly well meaning. My solution: They are well meaning and unrealistic. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Far be it from me to advise Africa on anything but I will simply point out the obvious. Getting sickle cell requires both parents to be carrying the trait. Screen everyone. That’s cheap. If two carriers insist on marrying then specialized IVF can select the unaffected embryos. Cost $30,000 dollars. Conclusion: Massive health care problems in Africa couched as equity problem. Again. Perspective #2. Declining Child Health in USA. By two prominent Pediatricians C.B. Forrest MD and N. Halfon MD. Their answer to this problem is “ new beliefs and narratives, shared by physicians, politicians, artists, journalists and civic leaders about raising children as a shared endeavor rather than a private responsibility”. Are you kidding? No mention of parents. Are they kidnapping your children and turning them into trannies and communists. Crazy. #3. End of war on biomedical science. A full on attack on Trump administration. #4 B Oddo medical student. “Gaps and Borders”. Nearly incomprehensible but appears to be upset about Drs attitude to illegals. Mr Oddo took leave from his medical studies to study for a Master of Theological Studies at the Duke divinity school on Theology, Medicine and culture Initiative. That’s all well and good but you don’t need to study and get a degree, or a title to be compassionate. It’s God’s gift that comes to all men. Fini

Post three of my review of woke, far left medical journals. This is from Lancet. A great resource for my research. Lancet Neurology, Volume 25, Issue 10, P873, October 2026. It’s an editorial. Couldn’t find the author. “Alzheimer’s Disease testing needs evidence, ethics, and equity” Problem: They insinuate, imply, that there is discrimination in testing and studies on Alzheimer’s. About 90% of participants in imaging studies and clinical trials are white. Solution: Must test across diverse populations to avoid disparities. My analysis: Common theme that falls apart on the slightest investigation. Investigators benefit from the broadest studies for their own credibility, for grants, for universal applicability and drug sales. It’s reported that blacks have twice the rate of Alzheimer’s as whites. What happened? Turns out that’s not true. Alzheimer’s is a specific disease that can be tested for. When one eliminates other forms of dementia blacks have a lower rate of Alzheimer’s. Blacks are more likely to be invited into studies but don’t enroll. When they did enroll they were found to not have Alzheimer’s or to have confounding comorbidities. Thus the whites who were eligible and took the time to fulfill the time and testing requirements essentially became guinea pigs for all mankind. Summary: Lancet implies racism, again, and is wrong, again.

First in a series on woke, far left medical journals. This is from the New England Journal of Medicine, 9/10/26,Volume 395, No. 10 “Outbreak of severe methemoglobinemia during maritime migration” 34 mostly Italian authors with help from Italian centers of toxicology and poisons. Problem: Migrants arriving in overcrowded, polluted, poisonous vessels with strange diseases. A boat arrived at Lampedusa, Italy with many suffering from severe acquired methemoglobinemia. My solution: An old adage. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Stop them at their origin for everyone’s safety. Their solution: Do an extensive analysis of the poisons in the boat. A bit late for that don’t you think? Conclusion: “Likely” from seawater contaminated with fuel. Action plan: Have stores of methylene blue, a potential cure, available at all possible Italian ports, with specialized testing apparatus, even in “resource strapped” regions. My action plan: stop them at their origin. Stop drawing down the coffers of the “resource limited” areas. Prevent the importation of even stranger and possibly infectious diseases. There is not the slightest notion of prevention in the article. No interdicting the boats. Just put the burden on Italian citizens. They make excuses for the migrants. ‘“Travel through North Africa is dangerous”. Why, other nations don’t welcome migrants? They have no real concern for the health of the boat people or their own citizens. It beggars common sense. The authors await the next strange disease-so they can get published-in NEJM.

On the question of Indians and Indigenous This is a long post for me but I feel it necessary with the latest trend of Asian Indians demanding to be considered British and rejecting claims of true indigenous Brits and denying reality of DNA, akin to the widespread adoption, at least here in the states, of magical thinking, for example certain men demanding to be considered women, quite earnestly at that, because they think they are women. I’ve scoured the literature and there are very few cases of Asian Indians claiming to be American Indians. They were considered cases of confusion over the naming convention, coincidence if you will. We had one case that was rather instructive and I’ll summarize it here before I continue. There was a certain Asian Indian man, named Hashish Patel, who practiced as a psychiatrist in OshKosh Wisconsin and had a fixed paranoid delusion that he was an American Indian. Unusual to begin with because most Asian Indians go into higher paying specialties. He would sleep in a teepee on his front lawn and wear Native American dress and drew the ire of local native tribes. It was finally too much when he eschewed wheeled vehicles and dragged his possessions behind him on some sort of sled. For his own safety he was hospitalized and medicated, the doctors being pessimistic of a cure as paranoid delusions can be firmly held. Social workers went through his house and confiscated all Native American paraphernalia and after his release said social workers kept an eye on him. Alas he outwitted them and obtained a full American Indian feather headdress and would parade proudly on Main Street. This became too much for the local indigenous tribe and shortly thereafter he was scalped and skinned and hung upside down from a tree at the town hall. At this the local Asian Indians got upset but the authorities were loath to investigate too deeply as this rid them of a tricky problem and they understood that paranoid delusions are difficult to treat. It was called a suicide as unbelievable as that may sound but it appeared to settle the matter. This should serve as a precautionary tale to any Asian Indians who wish to start a similar “I am indigenous” campaign in the states. The four most vicious Native American tribes to avoid are the Lakota Sioux, witness the fate of Hashish, the Mohawk in the northeast USA and the Comanche and Apache in the southwest. Above all avoid the American Indian reservations which are semiautonomous and have their own police force. Some might try Canada where there are indIgenous tribes as well. The native tribes there may seem laconic, seemingly sedated, like the rest of the population, but there remains a chance you would have the same fate.

COMMUNISTS AGAINST DEI Here is what Deng Xiaoping, head of the world’s biggest communist party said. 1. Distribution according to the quantity and quality of one’s work, technical skill and actual contribution. 2. Respect intelligence and training. 3. Truth from facts, success matters. 4. Let some people get rich first, egalitarianism produces poverty. 5. And the classic. It doesn’t matter if a cat is black or white as long as it catches mice. Thank you Chairman Deng for your wisdom. Thank you to Marxists.org for some of this summary.

Help create ethical standards for AI and robotic medicine. My first post. I became interested in medical ethics as soon as I started medical school with the knowledge that my grandfather had studied medicine with William Osler. The current ethics for AI and robotic medicine as purveyed by various international medical organizations and medical specialty societies focus on supervised AI. They submit that all AI and robotics be human supervised, that patients should know AI is used and that humans be accountable. There are a few mentions of “do no harm”. As AI progresses and becomes independent I am offering some guidelines. These apply to human physicians too. Please help with this. In my 50 years of practice I witnessed these guidelines being broken every day. 1. Follow the Hippocratic oath. 2. Do nothing without the right diagnosis except in cases of critical illness requiring urgent broad treatment and where a treatment is used to narrow down the diagnosis. 3. Do not treat without the right intention. 4. All patients need an advocate. Simple rules yet they are constantly ignored.

Excellent work, Peachy. In 1972 Dorothy Evslin wrote “The Fortunate Sex”. I met her several times as she had married into my father’s extended family. I thought she was a beautiful and dignified lady. She wrote it to warn the nascent “women’s liberation movement “ and the title implies a challenge to Simone de Beauvoir’s “The Second Sex”. Simone de Beauvoir, known abuser of her young female students, known predator on her young female students, known procurer of young female virgins for Jean Paul Sartre. ‘Feminist”. Keep writing , Peachy.
