Such a talent. I love the clips of him on piano. He brought so much to our world.
My friend Gary Harris brought this musician named D'Angelo over to my NYC apt. He was trying to figure out what to do with the music he'd brought with him. I listened to every cut...not just out of respect but because it was smoking. At the end of the encounter he asked me, "What should I do with it?" I remember this as if it were yesterday. I said, "Put it out. It's perfect!" Being the #artist he is, I guess he had to explore some ways to make it better. About a year later I heard one of those songs on the radio. It was #genius and it was exactly what he had played for me. I know...I still have the original cassette. ~Nile Rodgers❤️🙏🏾✊🏾

Rest in Power, D’Angelo 🕊️ A true Maestro — his voice, vision, & spirit reshaped the sound of a generation. He didn’t just make music — he built a language of soul, rooted in tradition but entirely his own. Fly high, D'. #DAngelo

D’Angelo was one of a kind. As a pioneer in neo-soul, he inspired a generation of singers, and helped shape music today. Michelle and I are thinking of his family, and all those who loved and admired him. nytimes.com/2025/10/14/arts/…

My favourite moment of the entire two seasons of ‘Severance’ is the moment when innie Mark hears outie Mark talk about “Helleny”. Genius writing from @DanErixon and the team. #SeveranceFinale @AppleTV

Such sad news.
Sad to report yet more tragic news for the music industry Angie Stone has been killed in a road accident this weekend. With band members on her way back to Atlanta from a Mardi Gras gig in Mobil. She was 63 yrs old, thoughts with her loved ones. RIP Angie #AngieStone

Definitely the end of an era. The Jam has been on in the background of my whole life. A sad loss. RIP Rick Buckler
That band were a massive influence on pretty much all I have done socially & work wise from a teenager, up to this point. I met Rick over the years & I found him a really nice fella & good company. A real shock to hear the news yesterday. Travel well mate and thank you.
