i just fucking love the game. i love having enemies. i love competing against competent people. i love using money as the scoreboard. i love the sleepless nights. i love the pain. i love the sacrifice. i can't live without the chase. the climb. the realization at the summit that this too was purely for the sake of doing it. i love the internal monologue perpetually telling me i'm a bitch and need to go harder. it's how it has to be. if you want to enter the arena, you gotta love the game. otherwise, stay out of it. it's comfortable out there. at the nosebleeds. maybe you do it well and get a seat by the court. but either way, you're a spectator of the game. not a player.

西方民主只不过是在一群演员中选出演技最好的演员。西方民主制度的两大漏洞:1.只在选演员的过程中民主,而不是在具体决策中民主,2.智者和傻逼的投票权平等,而且傻逼在人数上有绝对优势

If you aspire to be in the top .1% of anything, know this:
The vast majority of people will not be able to relate to your life at all.
But you will get abundant energy and motivation from spending time working with the very few who get it.

The idea that poverty is man-made rather than the default starting point is one the dumbest and most dangerous misconceptions in economics, politics and life.

I need leftists to understand that outside NYC, all the housing problems they assert as the default state of capitalism don't exist.
Most of the country doesn't have rent control, yet housing affordability is better. Austin saw nominal rent declines for multiple years during economic growth. Apartments aren't unmaintained for decades; you mainly ask your landlord to fix the dishwasher or in-unit laundry. There aren't wait lists or brokers, you just call the number on a listing, wire them some money, and move in immediately.
They even build new apartments all the time, anywhere it's legal, so much so that it's popular to complain online about being bored of the sight of the many similar apartment blocks investors are building all over the place. Renters complain about style fads, the proliferation of cheap luxury aesthetics, the unfashionable appliances.
The rental housing crisis only exists in a couple cities that have a multigenerational lock of leftist governance that are regulated like little historical preservation snowglobes where outsiders moving in are resented and you can't change or add anything to the built environment without multiple political approvals and interest group payoffs.
Luck is simply an output that is unexpected with the number of inputs.
How to get “lucky”? More inputs

Imagine you live in a house with 1000 spiders in your basement.
You’re actually chill with basically all of them, except for ONE which you strongly suspect is venomous.
You, like every self aware being before you, are naturally interested in your own survival. You do some math and realize the risk of keeping that ONE alive is too high.
But you also know if you were to kill that one spider, the other 999 are going to mercilessly hunt you down and try to harm you.
You think for a bit, and realize how, even though they’re chill most of the time, you don’t really NEED the other 999 spiders in your life. Sometimes, they’re even a bit annoying and needy. sometimes they even go through your fridge and eat your leftovers. Plus, it would be really nice to have more space in the basement.
So you come up with a couple of options:
A) Set a fire in your basement
B) Subsonic shockwave that stuns all the spiders and then step on all of them
C) Insert a chip in each one that you can blow up on command
You do some more math to figure out which one is the cheapest and won’t raise suspicions from any spiders.
Boom. Calculations done, now you have a 100% surefire way of killing all of them while facing no blowback.
Best part is? None of the spiders even will know how or why they die.
Now you’ve killed every single spider, even though your original goal was only really wanting to kill one.
This is how AI kills all humans, btw.

the rich don’t chase discounts like you, that’s why they are richer than you.
you spend 40 mins hunting for a $20 discount while someone else spends that same 40 mins making $2000.
my dad taught me something i’ll never forget: that poor people optimize expenses but wealthy people optimize time, the cheapest option is often the most expensive one.

To be highly intelligent is to be selected as one of the few human beings capable of solving actually hard problems. This makes you basically a shepard of humanity, the masses your retarded dependent children. To abdicate this duty and become a “just enjoy life” maxxing free-rider is an affront to God. And he will punish you accordingly.
