My 2026 Senate map predictions: ✅ Alaska is Republican after Peldolta was caught trying to cheat. The NY times broke this story so you know it’s bad. Easy GOP win now. ✅ Texas is red. Talarico is just a cringier Beto. No contest. ✅ Iowa is close but let’s be honest. That will go red. Collins will ultimately win in Maine. She is loved by the people there. ✅ Ohio will go red. Vivek is annoying and weird but his opponent is a clown show. ✅ Michigan will go red. Rogers is going to decimate the Muslim Brotherhood candidate who hates Israel. Democrats basically handed us the win here. ✅ Nevada is almost red but I think it will ultimately go blue this midterm. ✅ Kansas is easy Republican win. Not even stressed about this one. TLDR: Republicans keep the Senate 53-47 Bookmark this and get used to seeing all the red!

NEW The New York Times, which spoke to Haley Stevens, basically reports that this was all about hurt feelings. So many people today made this all about Stevens putting country over party. “On Sunday morning, Ms. Stevens woke up angry about being told not to come to church. She called Mr. Rogers and asked if they could attend church together, a gesture he immediately embraced, she later explained. Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

One of the fascinating things about responses to this is that many seem to assume I say this to posit where I live as superior or to assert some kind of hierarchy, lol, rather than taking the view that everywhere is exploited, but in different ways. Sad, lol

It’s funny how western leftists seem amazed at features of Asian societies as public infrastructure that is quickly repaired or public transportation that is always on time without seeming to realize that the secret sauce is worker exploitation
