Pico della Mirandola wrote that humans can rise toward the divine or degenerate into brutes. Looking at those who lie, insult and wage wars for power, and at the crowds cheering them, I see that degeneration. We need a cultural and spiritual revolution.

AI acts on the human cognitive environment. Call AI "the environment" itself and you quietly erase the human subject it is acting upon.

These days I’ve been thinking about something I’ve called karmic retrocausality. The idea is to adopt a perspective in which it’s not only the past that generates the future, but the fulfillment of our destiny that retroactively selects which past is real and necessary. #time
