just a reminder that the celtics scheme was to switch literally anybody on to luka and dare him to score on them. Meanwhile reddick said ""You’ve got to be willing to live with something. Shai playing one-on-one, thus far in the series, we haven’t been willing to live with."
Mara needs to clean up these forced tight window passes & defensive rebounding, but the foundations there, he’s walled the rim off multiple times

Absolutely fascinating to watch NBA Twitter lose their minds over Wemby dissing gambling companies (objectively a good thing, wish more players would do so) when just 6 months ago this entire app was making fun of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and calling him soft for suing Underdog 🙃

RE: Texas game racism
The sad part is there’s so many Indian-Americans I know and am aware of who have tried to be the “model minority” and have voted and participated in the uplifting of people who are with the Trump administration or align with the viewpoints and are straight up white supremacists and idk if it’s from a place of fear or fitting in probably both but hopefully the message is received that these people don’t give a shit about you and will throw you away not because of anything you’ve done, but because you don’t look like them. Stop giving a shit about people and movements who think you’re shit.
He struggled a lot in the worst possible matchup & he’s a very flawed offensive player, but his role in the NBA was always going to be a DPOY level defender + great playfinisher
He’s a 7 footer at the end of the day now relatively deep into his basketball career, his shot can’t & likely won’t change overnight, he’s still a 90th percentile+ shooter for a big
He was a top-15 player in the regular season, one of the best players through the first 2 rounds just based off defense & automatic finishing
The Spurs series was still embarrassing from Chet’s side, from the fact he couldn’t get shots off & was the least impactful on defense he’s been in a while
But I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to accept players inherent flaws
