Never miss a compression.
It only takes about four minutes for brain damage to set in during cardiac arrest.
Chest compressions keep blood flowing to the brain and vital organs.
When you start to get tired, verbally let a bystander know so they can step in.
As you slide your hands out, they slide theirs in.

We are excited to welcome Nick Petraccione as our new director of Huddle For Hearts.
Nick will lead our community and athlete partnerships to help expand our impact across the country.
Can an AED cause more harm? Can it be used to shock someone who doesn’t need a shock?
The short answer is no.
An AED analyzes a victim’s heart rhythm the second you apply the pads to a bare chest.
If it doesn’t detect a specific, shockable heart rhythm, the device will not charge or allow a shock to occur.
If a shock does need to be delivered, do not touch the patient as the electrical current could transfer to you as well.
Never be afraid to use an AED to help a victim of cardiac arrest. Anyone can save a life!
