Thanks @HRVA_Alliance for having me at the Ironclad Summit.
Speaking with the Aviation Maintenance Master Chief mess alongside CNAF and CNAL at @nas_oceana and addressing Navy, civic, and business leaders at @HRVA_Alliance's Ironclad Summit were two phenomenal opportunities to discuss two of my Lines of Effort: taking care of Sailors and expanding the maritime industrial base.

In Remembrance of Beirut
#OTD in 1983, a terrorist bombing at the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, claimed the lives of 241 U.S. service members, including 220 Marines, serving as part of the Multinational Force in Lebanon.
On October 23, a suicide bomber drove a truck laden with explosives into the barracks where U.S. Marines were stationed on a peacekeeping mission. The attack devastated the building and became one of the deadliest days in Marine Corps History.
The Marines in Beirut were deployed to help restore peace and stability amid escalating violence in Lebanon. Despite the dangers they faced, they carried out their mission with courage, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to one another.
The Beirut bombing left a lasting mark on the #MarineCorps and the nation. We remember the lost lives, honor the wounded and survivors, and recognize the families and loved ones who continue to carry the weight of that day. Their sacrifice remains woven into the legacy of every #Marine who has answered the call to serve.
Today, we pause to remember the 241 American service members who never made it home and honor their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to duty.
They came in peace. They will never be forgotten.

It’s a great Navy Day indeed.
Talk about a fine Navy day! Today, the Honorable Michael P. Duffey, Undersecretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment, and I welcomed home and presented the Presidential Unit Citation to USS McFaul after 332 days at sea, celebrated our $1.7 billion unaccompanied housing Hunt contract closure with Hampton Roads civic leaders, spent time with Norfolk Public School students at a @NAV_STA_NORFOLK STEM day, and had lunch with USS San Antonio warriors.

Today, @CMC_MarineCorps and I visited @1stMEF and spoke with Marines and Sailors to discuss the importance of being fit in mind, body, and soul.
Semper Fi!
This is the best part of the job: to be around warriors.

Today we commissioned USS Ted Stevens (DDG 128) in Whittier, Alaska, and added another ship to the growing Golden Fleet.
The best part of this trip was presenting the Command Master Chief of @CVN_72 with a Bronze Star on the Mess Decks in front of his Sailors. The crew went wild because they loved their Senior Enlisted Leader. His leadership got the USS Abraham Lincoln through a 10 month combat deployment.

Today, our warfighters aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) demonstrated the overwhelming capacity and capability that they brought to bear on our adversaries for the last 10 months.
I could not be more proud of America’s sons and daughters!

Thank you Rep. Hamadeh for taking the time out to see America’s sons and daughters at their very best.
I had the pleasure of welcoming the USS Abraham Lincoln home after a successful tour in the Middle East.
America’s strength comes from the men and women who choose a life of selfless service to defend our nation and our people.
I’m incredibly proud of our brave Sailors. They are smart, tough, resilient, and lethal.
@SECNAV Hung Cao is a man of honor, and we are thankful for his leadership — our Sailors and Marines are in good hands. 🇺🇸🫡
Such a wonderful night at the State Department where April and I hosted so many allies and partners.
Thank you @SenatorWicker. I am excited to continue working for our Sailors and Marines. I look forward to the confirmation process.
Now more than ever, we need the U.S. Navy to be the most effective maritime force in the world. Today, I had a productive discussion with Acting @SECNAV Hung Cao on the challenges facing our Sailors and Marines around the world. I look forward to working with him as we continue to strengthen our capabilities.

It’s time for leadership.
Every Sailor and Marine needs to know the person next to them and the warriors they lead.
Let’s defeat this enemy within called suicide.

Our ultimate strategic advantage is not our equipment. It is our people.
This was the key point I stressed during my recent visit to Navy Personnel Command as I spoke with newly pinned Chiefs and senior leadership.
The future of our Navy is in good hands!
Landon is not just a beast but he’s also an Officer & a Gentleman.
LOVE this: #Bengals rookie DT and Navy alum Landon Robinson pulled up wearing his full Service Dress attire! 🫡🇺🇸
