A wrestling match turned into a nightmare after repeated eye pokes left one competitor unable to continue 😳👁️
On October 27, 2026, American wrestler Morgan Turner was disqualified from the Senior World Wrestling Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan, after a controversial match against Russia’s Elizaveta Smirnova ended with both athletes out of the tournament.
Smirnova was leading 9–7 when the match came to a sudden halt following a second reported eye poke from Turner. The Russian wrestler collapsed to the mat in visible pain, prompting officials and medical personnel to intervene.
Turner was ultimately disqualified, handing Smirnova the victory. But the damage had already been done.
Despite reportedly insisting she could continue competing with one eye bandaged, Smirnova was not medically cleared to return to the tournament.
What should have been a victory instead became the end of her championship run.

Verphy Kudi left her daughter, Asiah Kudi, alone in their flat in Brighton, England, on December 5, 2019, while she travelled to celebrate her birthday.
Asiah was just 20 months old.
Kudi spent the following days partying in London and the West Midlands, attending a concert and birthday celebrations before returning home on December 11, nearly six days later.
When she returned, Asiah was unresponsive. Emergency services were called, but the toddler was pronounced de☆d after being taken to hospital.
A post-mortem examination found that Asiah d!ed from influenza, starvation and dehydration, with neglect recorded as the overall cause of de☆th.
In March 2021, Kudi pleaded guilty to mansl♤ughter. On August 6, 2021, she was sentenced to nine years in prison.
In June 2023, an inquest concluded that Asiah had been unlawfully k!lled.
Asiah was only 20 months old and depended entirely on her mother for her care and protection.

Imagine you are a dental hygienist and live in Sweden..
You are employed to help “migrant children” with their dental issues.
As part of your job you examine the wisdom teeth development of the kids and you notice that 80% of those “kids” have fully formed wisdom teeth, implying they are not kids at all but adults older than the age of 18.
You tell the Swedish Migration Agency and they advise you to put it in writing.
When you send exact details, with examples of specific patients you are suspended, investigated and fired for disclosing private information relating to patients.
This happened to Bernt Herlitz in 2017.
When he appealed the unfair dismissal he ultimately lost and was fined about $50,000.
He and his family faced financial hardship and almost lost their home, until some generous benefactors raised money for him. Bernt remains unemployed today, despite staff shortages for dentists in his area in Gotland.
At the time, Sweden scoffed at the tests and claimed they were “discriminatory” but since then they have quietly brought in mass dental testing, for those whose age is in doubt, by the National Board of Forensic Medicine.
Bernt deserves a medal. Not vilification and unemployment.
