ALT A man in a bathroom happily sing "I'm washing my pe-e-nis up in the sink 'cause I masturbated secretly while my roommate's away" to the tune of Debussy's Clair de Lune." The tune drifts into the ear of a grizzled passer-by who sheds a tear. The passer-by says to himself "this is the most beautiful melody I've ever heard." He tosses his AK-47 to the ground and says "I don't wanna do this mass shooting no more."

Reminder that there is no need for living standards to fall, pain is not inevitable, everything can be improved starting Monday, they are doing this to protect the rich who own the govt and telling you this below because there is absolutely no threat to them whatsoever.
"Painful" years ahead, think tanks warn, as living standards set to fall

Remember when transphobes were adamant men are better at darts than women in order to ban a trans woman from competitive play ... They look a bit silly huh
There’s a common perception that Britain is somehow an exceptionally high-tax country. And, judging by some of the comments here, apparently £126,000 is a relatively modest income compared with what Americans earn.
But let’s get into the real world.
£126,000 is approximately $168,000. That would put you in roughly the top 10% of full-time, year-round earners in America. And remember, America has some exceptionally high earners bringing up the average. You’re earning more than around 90% of the country’s full-time workforce.
And the taxation.
Take that same £126,000 salary and compare what you’d take home after tax in three locations:
🇬🇧 United Kingdom: £6,966 per month.
🇺🇸 California: £7,038 per month.
🇺🇸 New York City: £6,953 per month.
Once you account for all the layers of taxation, federal, state, local and payroll taxes in America, the take-home income is virtually identical.
The US has a much higher GDP per capita than the UK, but that’s because it has a number of enormous global companies and some exceptionally wealthy individuals. The US has extreme wealth inequality, far more so than the UK.

I’m quite surprised that Dalglish has it in him- he’s 75 now. But fair play to him

A.I. movies are bombing in China, Taika Waititi is being denied theatrical distribution, the restoration of Ken Russell’s The Devils is extending its own theatrical run. I’m not a “nature is healing” guy but something is shifting in the right direction and it’s beautiful to see.

In 1972 Italian singer Antonio Pepperoni released a song titled “Give It Away.”
The songs title and lyrics are gibberish but are intended to sound like English in an American accent. He wanted to show that audiences liked anything that sounded American.
It was a big hit.

Heartbroken by the death of Sir Patrick Stewart.
From Shakespeare to Star Trek, he boldly went where few had gone before, and took millions of us with him.
He never forgot his roots, nor did he shy away from using his voice to stand up for others, particularly those affected by domestic violence.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
