We welcome Dr Maya Gantayet, Senior Neurologist, MD and Co-Founder of Ashwini Group of Hospitals, as a Campaign Advisor for @IFIFoundation's ‘Spot Stroke Save Lives’ Campaign 2026.
Her expertise and guidance will strengthen our efforts to promote stroke awareness, encourage preventive practices, help people recognise early warning signs and emphasise the importance of seeking immediate medical attention.

The @IFIFoundation was pleased to host members of the Odia Wikimedians User Group on the occasion of @wikidata’s 14th anniversary, celebrating the power of open knowledge, digital collaboration and multilingual access to information.
The interaction brought together open-knowledge advocates, digital archivists and media professionals, to explore opportunities for collaboration in public health literacy, cultural heritage preservation, folklore documentation and structured open data.

Launched on October 29, 2012, by the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikimedia Deutschland, Wikidata is a free, multilingual knowledge base connecting facts, people, places and languages worldwide. It offers Odisha an opportunity to amplify Odia-language knowledge, preserve cultural heritage and make the state’s healthcare and historical resources more discoverable globally.

A stroke can happen suddenly, and every minute matters. Knowing the warning signs and acting without delay can make a life-saving difference.
Remember FAST:
🔹 F – Face drooping: Is one side of the face drooping?
🔹 A – Arm weakness: Is one arm weak or difficult to lift?
🔹 S – Speech difficulty: Is speech slurred or difficult to understand?
🔹 T – Time to act: Call an ambulance immediately.
Never wait for symptoms to improve. Recognise the signs, seek emergency medical care and Act FAST. Timely treatment can improve the chances of survival and recovery.
