Finding out about this on for the first time is... disheartening. I had been pushing to do a Blu-Ray of SPACED for years, so to find out that someone just went ahead without our involvement is.... a bummer. Not authorized by anyone involved in making the show. Finding out what happened as we speak...
So SPACED is finally coming to blu-ray and it's from an "algorithmic" remaster in 4K... C'mon, seriously? @edgarwright did you have any involvement in this? Because an AI upscale is most disappointing...

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

Last Night in Soho’ turns 5 today. To celebrate this mini-milestone, here’s some concept art for Marcus Rowland’s amazing production design on the movie. This art was done by a talented human, Mr Paul Threadgold.
You can see how we turned Goodge Place back to the ’60s, how we created the period Café de Paris on a soundstage, the fictitious Rialto club, an unnamed basement clip joint, and how we sent stretches of Greek, Frith and Bateman Streets in real Soho back in time.
It’s been so lovely to read some of your comments on ‘Last Night in Soho’ this week. I remain very proud of the movie, both for the realization of some ambitious worlds and for the wonderful time I spent with this cast and crew.
Those of you who saw it on the big screen when it was first released, I applaud you, especially with in the middle of an Omicron spike. But I do not begrudge anyone who came to it later, either. New viewers are always welcome. You can’t be late to a movie.
Happy 5th, ‘Last Night in Soho’. See you in the Toucan for a pint of Numbers. @lastnightinsoho

THE CYCLE is one of Shudder's best original movies and one of its subgenre's best movies in a long time. A compelling mystery that transforms into something much, much cooler. Excellent practical FX. Jordan Downey is a filmmaker to watch in the horror space. Don't miss this one.

I wasn’t particularly interested at first, but since it’s Zach Cregger’s latest film, I went to see “Resident Evil.” Right from the opening, it hits you with music reminiscent of “The Thing.” From there, it’s a relentless barrage of classic horror techniques, terrifying situations, and jump scares that never lets up until the very end. This isn’t a film adaptation of “Resident Evil.” It’s a film about the experience of playing “Resident Evil,” controller in hand. It reminded me of how I felt when I first played the original “Resident Evil” on PlayStation back in 1996. I was just like Bryan in this movie. I kept getting game over after game over, shouting “F***!” over and over again. lol I’m also happy I managed to pick up a program for “Digger.”
