The 2026 #AfricaNewsroomContest is here! Hosted at the #MCIMediaHub, this flagship competitive journalism training platform brings together university students from across Africa to showcase their journalism skills & creativity.
The theme “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Reimagine Our Communities Through Responsible Journalism,” challenges emerging journalists to explore how AI can be used ethically to strengthen fact-checking, combat misinformation and produce accurate impactful stories.
