Today, we pause to honor the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform, or who are still wearing it, including so many within our IMPD family.
Together, the veterans in this photo represent 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟳𝟳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 to our country. Their commitment to protecting others didn’t end when their military careers did, it continues every day in service to our city.
Thank you for your sacrifice, your strength, and your continued dedication. 💙

On 9/11, nearly 3,000 lives were lost, families shattered and our nation forever changed. We honor the victims and the first responders who ran toward danger. For those who wear the badge, it is a solemn reminder of the sacred trust to protect, serve, and if necessary, sacrifice.
