A US-based Nigerian doctor thinks asking for routine fasting insulin is an absurdity.
He called it a "dangerous proposition."
Type 2 diabetes doesn't start the day your doctor diagnoses it. Fasting glucose is one of the last numbers to move.
A Lancet study tracked 505 people who went on to get type 2 diabetes, with measurements going back up to 13 years before diagnosis.
Their insulin sensitivity fell steeply for 5 years before diagnosis. Fasting glucose only shot up in the last 3 years, from 5.79 to 7.40 mmol/L (about 104 to 133 mg/dL). The pancreas pushed out more insulin for a while, then its output dropped until diagnosis.
So a "normal" fasting glucose can sit there while the problem builds. That's why I ask for a fasting insulin.
Carbs are optional. Eat your meat.

Years ago, I was called by an organization I had worked with earlier and offered a job again. This time, it came with some perks: a nice office and a role training and managing workers who had joined the organization years after I left. There were also planned events (We held beauty pageants and sponsored them when possible) and weekly radio shows which I was to handle.
I studied communication but never liked radio. I felt I couldn’t handle speaking publicly, it was not my thing. I function better with my pen.
Still, better things were promised—things that lured me in: a future magazine, a share in the company if it ever went public, and a franchise in a subsidiary arm of the business.
I took the job. I did not know I took the bait to come back.
What followed was two years of manipulation and string-pulling. It was intense.
I was young and naive and didn’t put anything in writing. My employer was a trained lawyer and with the level of manipulation I witnessed, a clause or phrase tucked somewhere in any formal agreement without the scrutiny of someone trained would still be the same things.
That experience taught me a thing or two about how to handle manipulative bosses, & the emotional turmoil an employee can experience with an employer who does not just run a company but is all about controlling employees, pulling their strings
Ninety percent of what was promised never materialized.
I resigned after two years never to look back
A few months later, I got several phone calls that I never picked up. Messages were sent to me and through other people. She had asked me to be a judge at a beauty pageant the company was organizing. That was a bait. I was also informed through people that an award was waiting to be presented to me at the event (another trap)
Manipulators know how to exploit human weaknesses. Our need for appreciation and validation can be a trap. They observe you and know which button to press.
The night the event held, I stayed at home. I got several missed calls, but i didn’t bulge a bit.
I heard my name was called for the award and that one of the employees collected it in my absence.
“Good,” that was my response.
Long after the event, a friend visited my former boss on some other important, unrelated business. She said she saw the glass plaque meant to be presented to me that night on her table. My friend admitted it was a beautiful plaque and gushed over it a bit.
“It must have been expensive, because it was carved excellently well.”
“She put it on the table because she knew you were coming.” I told her.
Setting a net for a bird in its plain sight is a futile effort.

In 2021 - Federal Ministry of Health gave guidelines, stating seasoning cubes can be used for food fortification.
September 2024 - Nigeria adopts a voluntary SON standard (iron, zinc, folic acid, B12). Compliance is optional for manufacturers.
From 2024 to 2026, a coordinated campaign pushes to flip this from voluntary to mandatory. NSN, GAIN, Helen Keller Intl, and public-health experts call for compulsory folate/B12 fortification. The Guardian reports "voluntary compliance has not been sufficient."
In 2026, CAPPA issues warnings (World Heart Day 2026, and a formal piece in August 2026) that mandatory fortification poses maternal and cardiovascular risks from sodium.

DG NAFDAC said "exploring the use of bouillon cubes as an additional vehicle for food fortification" and "is collaborating with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), a recipient of 319 million USD from Bill Gates to assess the feasibility"
Odukoya Fiyinfoluwa, a clinical nutritionists warns bouillon (seasoning cubes) is a significant sodium source (hypertension/stroke risk) ....
So now, lets go back to the Nutritionist Bill. Do you now see why it seeks to determine and control the standards of Nutrition? Does the picture get clearer now? When you buy food from your local vendor and they use seasoning cubes to force a taste, know that you are doing to yourself.
You should also know that many manufacturers in Nigeria did not comply to the voluntary fortification, but as much as you can, stay away from Nestle products. The foreign seasoning cubes complied with some, and were involved in this whole thing, pushing the local ones to comply. I'll delve more into this in my next post.

It's important we understand the role-play connection between Nutrition Society of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Health, CS SUNN, and Grand Challenges Nigeria, in the capture of Nigeria's nutritional standards and the Nutritionist Regulatory Bill.
1) @nsnconnect Nutrition Society of Nigeria is actually embedded inside our Gates funded Ministry of Health with over 64m usd. Their address is- "Nutrition Society of Nigeria, 1st Floor, Federal MOH Building, Central Area, Abuja"
2) We must also identify a CS-SUNN (Civil Societies Scaling up Nutrition), who have received 8.6million USD from Gates Foundation. Their work is very interwoven with NSN.
Their current director in Nigeria is Beatrice Eluaka is a single individual who is simultaneously: (1) a former President of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria, and (2) a former Head of Nutrition in the Federal Ministry of Health, and now heads CS-SUNN's secretariat.
So the NSN <-> Federal Ministry of Health <-> CS-SUNN triangle is bound by overlapping personnel, not just shared funders.
3) Grand Challenges Nigeria (GCNg): Is part of Bill Gate's 2003 Grand Challenges network, which's relationship with NSN is like a tapeworm inside a host. This is a very familiar strategy in the GMO space- OFABNigeria sitting inside the stomach of NBRDA. So you think they are Nigerian initiatives... nah; they are foreign organizations with policies from without. GCNg was what NSN's first credit alert from Gates was to establish.
So, in a nutshell, NSN, CS-SUNN and GCNg form a single interlocking Gates-funded apparatus:
NSN provides professional authority and runs the innovation-funding platform (GCNg), CS-SUNN provides the civil-society advocacy/lobbying arm, and both are woven into the Federal Ministry of Health through physical co-location (NSN's address) and shared personnel (Eluaka, who has been NSN president, MOH Head of Nutrition, and CS-SUNN director).
Combined Gates funding for these is roughly US$11.3 million. This is just the beginning.

🚨BREAKING: New Paper Reveals How mRNA "Vaccine" Materials Could Spread From Vaccinated to Unvaccinated People
We identified TWO distinct forms of mRNA vaccine shedding: internal transcriptional spread and potential human-to-human transfer.
1. HUMAN-TO-HUMAN SHEDDING:
Studies have detected vaccine SPIKE PROTEIN and mRNA on or within circulating exosomes MULTIPLE YEARS after vaccination.
Exosomes are naturally present in bodily secretions:
BREAST MILK: Vaccine mRNA already DETECTED within exosomes in human breast milk, documenting its presence in a secretion naturally transferred from vaccinated mothers to their infants.
SALIVA: Exosomes confirmed; vaccine materials NEVER TESTED.
EXHALED BREATH: Exosomes confirmed; vaccine materials NEVER TESTED.
SWEAT: Exosomes detected; vaccine materials NEVER TESTED.
Exosomes can deliver genetic material into recipient cells capable of altering cellular activity. These findings establish the biological basis for potential human-to-human transfer routes.
Adding to these concerns, an observational study found associations between proximity to vaccinated individuals and menstrual irregularities among unvaccinated women.
Despite these findings, whether vaccine-derived materials can transfer between individuals through saliva, exhaled breath, sweat, or other bodily secretions has NEVER BEEN DIRECTLY TESTED.
2. TRANSCRIPTIONAL SHEDDING — INTERNAL SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE BODY:
Following mRNA vaccination, human cells manufacture spike protein, which can be broken into fragments, released into the bloodstream, and transported throughout the body inside exosomes.
Our paper identifies TWO potential mechanisms that could extend this process:
CELL DIVISION (MITOSIS): When spike-producing cells divide, their daughter cells may inherit vaccine-derived proteins and other altered cellular materials, potentially extending their effects across generations of cells.
CELL-TO-CELL SPREAD: Exosomes can transport spike-related materials to distant cells that NEVER received vaccine mRNA directly, disrupting their normal biological functions.
Together, these mechanisms suggest a SELF-REINFORCING CYCLE of molecular dissemination:
SPIKE PRODUCTION → FRAGMENTATION → EXOSOME RELEASE → CELLULAR DISRUPTION → FURTHER SPREAD
As vaccine-derived materials spread between cells, they interfere with five interconnected biological systems: blood coagulation, innate immune sensing, tumor-suppressor signaling, cellular receptor regulation, and interferon signaling.
The possibility of sustained cellular disruption and human-to-human exposure demands IMMEDIATE testing.
In the meantime, a HALT to mRNA technology is warranted to protect innocent bystanders from potential shedding.
