Nick Saban GOLD 🥇 “Negative experiences without teaching kill morale.” This is such an important coaching lesson. Players are going to fail. They are going to make mistakes. The question: What do we do with it?

🚨 COLLEGE SOCCER TRUTH: CLUB INITIALS MATTER! Harsh Truth: College coaches don’t recruit in a vacuum. They recruit within a landscape where club names, leagues, and platforms can influence who gets seen. You can be a talented player, but if you’re playing outside the platforms college coaches prioritize, you may have to work twice as hard to get the same attention. Club initials can open doors. Certain leagues and clubs have established recruiting visibility. Exposure is not equal. Coaches have limited time and recruiting budgets. They cannot watch everyone. Talent still matters. Playing for a big name club does not guarantee a college offer. Your platform affects your opportunity. The right environment can help you get evaluated. The wrong assumptions about exposure can cost you time. Here’s the part parents need to understand: Being the best player on a lesser known team doesn’t automatically put you on the radar of the college programs you want. Is that fair? Not always. Is it reality? It can be. You want college soccer, chase the club initials. That’s the reality. The right club initials get you noticed. Your ability determines whether you get recruited. — College Soccer Truth #CSTruth

Here’s the truth: Transferring is not a magic solution. A new school doesn’t guarantee more playing time. A new coach doesn’t guarantee a better relationship. And a bigger name doesn’t guarantee a better experience. Sometimes, transferring is absolutely the right decision. Other times, the problem follows you because you never addressed it in the first place. Before making a move, evaluate your situation honestly. Understand your market value. Research potential destinations. Have direct conversations with your coach. Make sure your academics, finances, eligibility, and future opportunities are part of the decision. Don’t transfer just to escape a difficult situation. Transfer because you have a better plan. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side #CSTruth
🚨 COLLEGE SOCCER TRUTH: START THINKING ABOUT TRANSFERRING. 🚨 If you’re sitting on the bench, unhappy with your role, or questioning your future at your current school, it might be time to start thinking about your next move. But before you enter the transfer portal, ask yourself some hard questions: ⚽ Are you not playing because of the coach, or because someone is better than you? ⚽ Have you earned the minutes you think you deserve? ⚽ Are you developing, or are you just comfortable? ⚽ If you transfer, will another program actually want you? ⚽ Are you prepared to compete for your spot all over again? #CSTruth

Jon Sumrall after knocking off Texas: “We still suck. We just sucked less. All right? And so we have to figure out how to suck less each week.” He’ll win a lot of games at Florida with this mentality. on3.com/teams/texas-longhorn…

Sage advice from @thewinningdiff1
Don’t wait for a bigger role to bring a bigger commitment. Your role can change in one play. Your habits can’t. The work you’ve done comes with you when you step into the game. So does the work you’ve avoided. Make today’s preparation worthy of tomorrow’s responsibility.

Amazing save! I could watch this over and over again
Texas A&M soccer earned its first point in SEC play tonight with a draw against South Carolina. Great save late from Sydney Fuller on this PK:

Pretty sure @CanesFutbol is the team most don’t want to play. @KenMasuhr_Jr humbly doing great work down there.
Thrilled for the group and how they battled for each other. This team was uplifted by the energy in the stadium and on the sidelines. Thank you to all who shared your voices in support of our team. Looking forward hosting our alums and Iona next week!

What a great lesson for every young athlete. Jalen Hurts was 26-2 as a starter and lost his job. He could have made it about himself. Instead, he kept working, supporting his teammates, and getting better. Adversity reveals character. 🔥
"Sometimes when bad things happen, it makes you better." Coach Saban gave his flowers to his former QB Jalen Hurts ❤️

There is a lot of noise in the world of sports. Lots of “experts” rankings etc but none of it wins games and none of it actually makes you a better athlete. Ignore it all and keep putting in the work.
“It doesn’t matter what everybody says, what everybody else thinks. It only matters in what we believe and what we do,” @CoachVenables The process doesn’t care about your ranking or reputation. It only responds to your standards and consistent commitment to growth.

Let’s go! Great to see our players making an impact at the next level! 👏 @KateKuzemka @KyndalShuler
As the fall season continues, we’re checking in on some of our alumni as they make their mark at the college level. Furman University freshman Kate Kuzemka scored twice Sunday to help lead her team to another win. Meanwhile, UVA freshman Kyndal Shuler has already appeared in 10 matches for a Top 25 program. It’s great to see our alumni competing, contributing, and continuing to grow at the next level. We’re proud of all of them and excited to follow along this season. #LetsGoVDA

Humbled and honored to have been surprised with being named one of the top 5 coaches in the United States. It might be my name up there, but none of that occurs without the incredible staff, families, program and CULTURE of what we have at @NationalsGA. We’re just getting started and so excited for what’s to come. #NationalsFamily

This is how I always viewed coaching. Every season is different. Different players. Different strengths. Different challenges. My job wasn’t to force every team to look the same. My job was to get the absolute most out of the team and talent we had. For me, that came down to three things: 1. Build the culture. 2. Develop leaders. 3. Find the strategy that gives THIS team the best chance to win. You don’t coach the team you wish you had. You coach the team you have. Great coaching is figuring out what your team can become, and then helping them get there.
