#WCRS2026 | Echoing the Voice of the Global South
The 2nd World Climate Readiness Summit (WCRS) 2026, organised by IPE Global with Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) alongwith knowledge partners Climate Collective Foundation and Climate Trends brought together global leaders, policymakers, climate experts, development practitioners and youth representatives in New Delhi to advance climate readiness across the Global South.
The central conviction behind WCRS 2026 was simple but urgent: the Global South must no longer be a subject of the climate conversation: it must lead it. Held under the theme “Echoing the Voice of the Global South,” the Summit provided a platform to exchange experiences, identify practical solutions and explore pathways towards a climate-resilient future.
Across five thematic sessions, discussions examined climate leadership across regions and states, the low-carbon transition, youth-led climate action, mobilisation of private capital for bankable climate solutions, and pathways from climate ambition to tangible outcomes ahead of COP31. The conversations reinforced the importance of translating commitments into practical, implementable action, grounded in local realities and shaped by the priorities of the countries and communities most affected by climate change.
As WCRS 2026 concluded, one message resonated across the conversations: climate ambition must translate into meaningful action. The Global South must have the agency to shape its climate future through stronger partnerships, innovative solutions and collective leadership.
The conversations may have concluded, but the work continues-from climate ambition to climate readiness, and from commitments to outcomes.

Industry Joins Hands to Strengthen Vocational Education in Rajasthan
How can industry help make vocational education more relevant, practical and aspirational for girls?
On 23 October, the Rajasthan Council of School Education (RCSE), Government of Rajasthan, in partnership with IPE Global under Project She Learns, convened a State-Level Industry Roundtable in Jaipur to strengthen industry–school linkages and expand opportunities for girls in vocational education.
Chaired by Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Commissioner and State Project Director, RCSE, the discussion emphasised breaking gender stereotypes and enabling girls to explore diverse career pathways.
Ms. Sunita Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, RCSE, also engaged with industry stakeholders on the state’s vocational education priorities.
The roundtable brought together industry leaders and associations, including representatives from FICCI and the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), to explore practical ways of connecting classroom learning with the world of work.
Key areas of collaboration included:
🔹 Industrial visits and workplace exposure
🔹 Industry-led guest lectures and practical learning
🔹 On-the-Job Training (OJT) and internship opportunities
🔹 Support for upgrading vocational education labs in schools
🔹 Greater exposure for girls to diverse and non-traditional careers
A key outcome was the commitment from participating organizations to support and strengthen vocational education in Rajasthan.
IPE Global thanks RCSE and all participating industry partners for their engagement and commitment. Through Project She Learns, we look forward to translating these commitments into meaningful opportunities for girls to learn, build confidence and prepare for the world of work.
