El Niño is leaving its fingerprint on the ocean—and ISRO’s satellite is watching! ISRO’s EOS-06 (Oceansat-3) is detecting a reduction in ocean Chlorophyll-a for the month of June 2026, indicating changes in tiny marine plants (phytoplankton), along with a shift in surface winds. From space, these changes offer a fascinating glimpse into the evolving 2026 El Niño and its impact on our oceans compared with signatures in 2024 & 2025. ⚠️ 𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭 News of ISRO allegedly conducting their 1st ever satellite launch from Uttar Pradesh is being reported by several prominent media outlets and widely shared on social media platforms. In reality, neither ISRO is involved with the launch by any means, nor does this launch classify as a satellite launch. Here's what really happened 👇 INSPACe (private outreach arm of ISRO) is organising a model rocketry competition, and the firm which was selected for supplying the rocket motors for these model rockets conducted a demo launch of their rocket motor from a makeshift launch site at a farm in Khusinagar, Uttar Pradesh, to evaluate the performance of the motor. Comparing this model rocket launch to an orbital spaceflight mission carrying a satellite is like comparing a remote-controlled toy car to a Formula 1 race car. Referring to CanSats as "satellites" is incorrect since they do not fly into orbit, which is required to be classified as real satellites. This is a test flight of a model rocket that goes up to approximately 1 km high. It is intended for a student competition and not a massive space expedition. It is sad to learn that individuals are confused and have inflated notions about something that is merely an attempt to inform.

Postponement of Axiom 04 mission slated for launch on 11th June 2025 for sending first Indian Gaganyatri to ISS. As part of launch vehicle preparation to validate the performance of booster stage of Falcon 9 launch vehicle, seven second of hot test was carried out on the launch pad. It is understood that LOX leakage was detected in the propulsion bay during the test. Based on the discussion on this topic by ISRO team with the experts of Axiom and SpaceX it has been decided to correct the leak and carry out necessary validation test before clearing for the launch. Hence the launch of Axiom 04 slated for 11th June 2025 for sending first Indian Gaganyatri to ISS is postponed. With regards Dr.V.Narayanan Secretary DOS/ Chairman ISRO & Chairman Space commission
