Is it common for grain elevators to have no personal ID or security checks when selling grain? The other week, I called a 3-letter co-op to sell a small amount of grain. They just asked for my name, told me how many bushels I had, and sold it—no PIN, no security question, no text confirmation.
It felt way too easy. In theory, anyone could call, ask about someone else's bushels, and sell them without permission. It seems like there should be more security to prevent this. Is this just how it works everywhere?
