Messi y el Harry Potter de las pelis son la misma persona
In the original novel, Harry actually does return the Elder Wand to Dumbledore's grave. But filmmakers snapped the wand instead to fix a catastrophic logical flaw.
In the book Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows, Harry uses the Elder Wand for exactly one piece of magic after defeating Voldemort. He repairs his original holly and phoenix feather wand, which had been accidentally snapped months earlier. Once his old wand is whole again, he tells the portraits in the Headmaster's office that he plans to return the Elder Wand to Dumbledore's resting place.
Harry's logic in the novel is that if he dies a natural death, he will never be defeated in combat. The wand's power will be broken forever because its allegiance will die with him.
However, the filmmakers, director David Yates and screenwriter Steve Kloves, chose to have Harry snap the wand in two and throw it off the viaduct at Hogwarts, entirely skipping the repair of his original wand.
This change was driven by two practical reasons. First, film requires a visual, definitive conclusion. A conversation with a painting and an off-screen burial does not pack the same dramatic punch as physically destroying the most powerful object in the world. Snapping the wand demonstrates Harry's absolute rejection of power.
Second, Harry’s plan in the book has a massive practical oversight. Harry intends to become an Auror, a Dark wizard catcher. He is dedicating his professional life to hunting down dangerous magic users. The probability of him never being disarmed, stunned, or defeated in his entire career is incredibly low. Furthermore, Voldemort had just successfully broken into Dumbledore's tomb to steal the wand. Putting the most coveted magical artifact back into a known target location, while trusting that no one will ever manage to disarm the Head Auror of the Ministry of Magic, is an immense risk.
While fans were frustrated that the movie skipped the emotional closure of Harry repairing his beloved original wand, the cinematic choice to snap the Elder Wand permanently resolved the threat in a way that Harry's book plan did not.
Man with a hot dog stand: is a really bad idea to cook your own hot dogs. Trust me.
sam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources
“a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre
but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time
you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment
somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”
Las palabras ya no significan nada lamentablemente
