The literacy crisis isn’t that people can’t read the words. It’s that they can’t understand the context, infer meaning, recognise nuance, identify contradictions, or draw logical conclusions from what they’ve read

Stop trying to ban porn. All you have to do is just...
Regulate exploitation.
Enforce consent laws.
Improve sexual education.
Hold platforms accountable for actual abuses.
You ever need more examples of creators not actually understanding their own work?
Here's one.
These guys made it crystal clear that Aang not only would have absolutely died along with every other air nomad had he not run away, he spent most of the series blaming himself anyway, and that sense of failure was a huge motivating factor to standing up to Ozai in the present. It was also a major blocker for him learning to becoming the avatar he needed to be.
This is as dumb as the claim that Aang didn't need to train to master the elements and just was perfect out of the gate.
Did you even watch the show?
My wife has had it on in the background and rewatched it three times in the last year or so. It's so dramatically different than most anything being written today, and the idea that the problem with Korra was just that sexists didn't want a female avatar is both comically false and also wildly insulting.
I don't entirely know why Hollywood was overrun by low IQ postmodern relativists and nihilist, but at some point the pendulum has to swing back towards sanity or the whole edifice needs to go.
‘Avatar’ creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko say much of the hate toward Korra stems from misogyny and homophobia, pointing out that fans blame her for losing the past lives but don’t hold Aang accountable for the Air Nomads’ extinction:
“They hold Korra to a different standard. I think there's a lot of misogyny and homophobia. The idea we hate Korra is not true."

My piece was right there on the finalists cover. Then they quietly yeeted it after the list dropped. Official excuse? "Old NSFW reports." I followed y'all's own rules didn't post from an NSFW account. Apparently that still wasn't enough.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

Noticing how Furries never get asked this question.
Yeah dude you can argue the animal character is an, “adult that can consent” but it’s literally an animal. Why the animal parts?
