Sidama Bank has joined the Ethiopia Securities Exchange’s Main Market under the ticker SIDAX, becoming the bourse’s seventh listed company and sixth bank.
The lender came to market through the registration of 1.447M existing shares rather than a fresh capital raise, with its shares opening at Br 1,300 (≈KES 1,039) as ESX continues to build out its issuer base.

THE OUTCOME LAYER
Last week, I noted that much of the hypergrowth we are seeing is in 'Dev Tools' for coders, and then 'App Builders' next.
We continue to move up the value stack.
Higgsfield is one of the few Silicon Valley startups to show hypergrowth *without* providing coding tools for coders or app building.
They will hit $700 MM+ in revenue...and it launched just a few years ago.
The point is: the next wave of hypergrowth is not another wrapper around writing software.
It is tools that sit closer to the outcome - video, ads, brand creative, cinema-grade production - for people who never wanted to code in the first place.
It's also remarkable (and logical) that the sequence of traction in the venture ecosystem: dev tools > app building > go to market > app layer
We're in the very early innings on the app layer.
Muse, Granola, Instinct is all a part of that.

VENTURE CAPITAL: DEV TOOLS
The "App Builders" - Cognition, Cursor, Loveable - and others have grown at outstanding revenue pace.
But, so have oother tools not so well known that are at the AI coding infra layer.
Our team uses Supabase and Vercel - both excellent tools... both insanely over-priced now.
All to say -- betting on coders going extinct is a terrible idea.
These tools are designed for coders (and some also for agentic workflows).
Cognition (Devin): ARR rose from $1 MM to $73M from September 2024 to June 2025.
Many VCs passed on Devin at $1 MM.
The whole category of AI dev tools is melting faces.
The valuations of some of these names exceeds those of many well-known, strong brand public market firms (like Atlassian, Elastic, etc.)
These tools serve coders - and agents.
If you were betting on the end of coding as a profession, you're wrong.
We're seeing more code output than ever before.
We're going to see an explosion in niche, specialized coding to fill gaps that previously didn't make sense to fill.
