My annual Tisha B’av ambivalence and anxiety has set in. Last year I was very freshly postpartum so fasting was not an option and I didn't have to deal with as much of this feeling. Now I could fast again, but caring for a 13 month old while hangry feels like a bad idea

Do liberals know that shit still goes on even when democrats have the White House?
Why the fuck are you at brunch while others are protesting and defending their rights and freedoms? Your activism stops the moment someone with a (D) next to their name is in power and that’s some real bullshit. Families are still being separated, natives are still getting their land stolen and destroyed, black people are still being disenfranchised and targeted, women are still having their autonomy taken away and children are still being indoctrinated, trafficked and undereducated.

This might be unpopular, but I find it very weird how a widow has stepped into the CEO role, delivered two speeches, one at a stadium memorial (where Charlie’s parents weren’t even present), and is already going on podcasts just two weeks after her husband was assassinated. Instead of being home with her two young children who just lost their dad.
