To the NBC Los Angeles news team and NBC News nationwide, @NBCLA @nbcbayarea @NBCNews @nbc We write with heavy hearts after the helicopter crash in Chatsworth. Your NewsChopper crews go out every day to keep the public informed, often putting themselves in harm's way to do so, just like the aircrews and first responders who work alongside them. The public safety community stands with you right now. We grieve alongside you for journalist Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw, and the member of the public who was lost on the ground. We are also keeping the bystanders who were injured and hospitalized in our thoughts as they recover. To the families, friends, and colleagues of those who were lost, please accept our deepest condolences. There aren't really words that ease a loss like this, but please know you're not grieving alone. To the newsroom and flight crews who will keep doing this work, thank you for your dedication and courage. What happened is a stark reminder of the risks you take to uphold the public's right to know. We are keeping the whole NBC Los Angeles family, and everyone touched by this tragedy, in our prayers. Comfort for those grieving, strength for those recovering, and peace for everyone who's hurting right now. With deepest sympathy and solidarity, San Francisco Fire Department
