🌏 9th Alliance of Australian Muslims (AAM) Muslim Community Leaders Summit | Community Voices
🗣️ At the 9th AAM Muslim Community Leaders Summit, we asked community members and leaders from across Australia about the discrimination and Islamophobia Australian Muslims face today.
From children being bullied at school, to people attacked online simply for speaking about Islam, to discrimination that has become a huge issue across the country, the message was clear. Islamophobia is affecting our families, friends and communities, and it is not getting the attention it seriously deserves.
🤝 Those we spoke with called for stronger action against discrimination and more education for the wider community to challenge misconceptions about Islam and Muslims.
🕌 Australian Muslims are an integral part of Australian society. No one should be targeted because of their faith, and we will continue to stand up for the safety, dignity and rights of our community.
🌱 Real change begins with listening to our community and turning their concerns into action.

Islamophobia is rising, and happening right now, to real people: at school, at work, online and on the street. Mosques and Islamic institutions are facing threats.
ANIC will not stand by. We are strengthening Action Against Islamophobia, victim support, reporting, education, mosque security and crisis response.
The Special Envoy’s recommendations must be implemented. Australian Muslims deserve fair, consistent protection, now.
If you experience or witness anti-Muslim hatred, report it. When incidents are reported, patterns become visible and action can follow.

🤝 This important national initiative is supported by ANIC and Australia’s Imams. At the 19th ANIC AGM, a resolution supporting the establishment, development and objectives of the Australian Quran Council was unanimously endorsed by the attending Imams and ANIC members.
🕌 The Australian Quran Council aims to connect, support and strengthen Quran education, teaching and services across Australia, bringing together Quran teachers, scholars, educational institutions and community organisations under a shared national vision.
📚 The Council’s key objectives include:
✅ Strengthening Quran education and teaching across Australia.
