People who’ve never edited before don’t realize how much hours (10’s of 100’s) and effort goes into it and how much an editor can make or break an entire channel. If content creators are the face of YouTube then editors are the spine. Paying them well should be a must.

Getting an editor is an expectation now. People don’t learn to make their own videos anymore until they can afford to scale. Most editors wanted to be a creator, learned on their own and kept at it. Editors get treated as employees, but are expected to be fans at below min wage.
