ALT I was very surprised and happy to hear that I had been picked the Best Research Project Prize, especially because my cohort was filled with extremely talented people. I remember working very hard but also having a great time working with Dr. Oliver Ratmann who was a phenomenal mentor. This is huge news to me as I would like to pursue a PhD in statistics after the MSc!

ALT I am absolutely delighted to accept the Winton Capital Prize for best MSc student 2021-2022. This is a wonderful recognition at the end of an amazing degree program, after a challenging but thoroughly enjoyable year. Both the prize and the program shall always hold a special place in my heart. In the next chapter of my life, I look forward to using the skills acquired during the program to build a successful career in quantitative finance.
ALT "I am extremely grateful and honoured to be awarded this prize. I would like to thank every faculty and TA of the programme who developed me from near-zero statistics knowledge to finally achieving second place in the year. It is a huge confidence boost and validation of my hard work for me. Most importantly, I found the machine learning topics I am interested in to dig deeper into, which I would like to thank my supervisors Mark and Andrew. Going forward, I am currently a software engineer honing my coding and CS skills, aspired to be a machine learning PhD one day and a researcher following that.
