LOS ECONOMISTAS Y EL MAL USO DE LA MATEMÁTICA Y LA ESTADÍSTICA
Un gran profesor de crecimiento nos contó una vez en clase un chiste sobre economistas fabuloso:
3 economistas van a tomar el tren y sacan 3 boletos. Al rato, aparecen 3 físicos y sacan 1 boleto. Los economistas se reían de los físicos porque cuando pasara el guarda serían apresados. Ya en el tren, llega el guarda, los economistas entregan los boletos mientras que los físicos se encierran los 3 en el baño. Cuando el guarda golpea la puerta, sacan la mano con el boleto, el guarda pica el boleto y sigue.
Al otro día, los economistas copiando a los físicos sacan 1 boleto. Al rato, llegan los físicos y no sacan boleto. De nuevo, los economistas se ríen de la suerte que ahora sí correrán los físicos. Así, ya en el tren, llega el guarda, los economistas corren al baño para replicar el truco. Al momento, los físicos golpean la puerta del baño de los economistas, estos últimos sacan el boleto, los físicos toman el boleto y se meten en otro baño. Cuando llega el guarda, los economistas son los que terminan presos.
REFLEXIÓN
Usar las herramientas de matemática, física y estadística no convierte a los usuarios/economistas en expertos en el tema. Por ende, el uso de este tipo de instrumentos sin los conocimientos te puede jugar una muy mala pasada y hacerte quedar como un imbécil total. La vida...
