In options trading, you can pick the right stock direction and still lose money because of Theta (Time Decay). Theta is the daily drop in an option's value as expiration nears: - For Buyers: It's the enemy eroding your option's price even if the stock stays flat. - For Sellers: It's a friend helping you keep the upfront premium as the clock runs out. Decay accelerates rapidly in the final week before expiration, making short-term and 0DTE options brutal for buyers.
