The @G20org #Atlanta today concluded with the Plenary III focussed on Supply Chains. Highlighted the following: ➡️ Securing supply chains and ensuring their resilience is today central to the well-being of the global economy. ➡️ The right to industrialise must be promoted; predatory practices and targeting competition should be firmly resisted.   ➡️ Diversification and de-risking, including in connectivity is the key to supply chain resilience, threatened by pandemics, conflicts, climate events and mishaps.   ➡️ De-concentration of global economy and optimisation of production across geographies can discourage the weaponisation of finance, resources, production and market share.   ➡️ The G20 should work towards de-politicisation of markets.   ➡️ G20 countries must reconcile their national interests for the collective good by promoting transparent and multiple supply chains, making the global economy truly multi-stakeholder.

Pleased to participate in QUAD Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Atlanta, the third this year after our earlier interactions in New Delhi and Manila. Highlighted the importance of: ✅ Maintaining stability, driving prosperity and ensuring freedom of choice as our continuing commitments in the Indo-Pacific. ✅ Deepening cooperation to promote supply chain resilience and ensure technology, critical minerals & energy security. ✅ Countering non-market practices and increased economic stresses in the Indo-Pacific. ✅ Taking forward agreements on counter-terrorism, maritime security and capacity building to enhance resilience & contribute to peace and stability. ✅ Developing a more contemporary QUAD agenda with a practical approach. 🇮🇳 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 🇯🇵

Spoke at the 2nd Plenary of @g20org #Atlanta. ✅ Underlined that the world today stares at an energy crisis, not of production, but of unpredictability & disruption, unaffordable costs, and challenges of access.   ✅ Highlighted that deliberate attacks on energy trade & energy infrastructure are a calculated strategy to hold energy prices hostage.   ✅ Emphasised that continuous distortions of energy markets through obstacles, sanctions & chokepoints are happening with increasing frequency, greater complexity & wider impact. ✅ Underscored that there appears little regard for the predicament of low-income countries.   ✅ Stressed that convenient distinctions are being drawn between oil and gas. Selective carveouts speak for themselves.   ✅ Reiterated that the knock-on effects & mutual dependence in a globalised market should not be underestimated.   ✅ Reaffirmed that India needs reliable and predictable LPG supplies for its clean cooking needs.   ✅ Reiterated that India’s National Mission on critical minerals spans exploration to recycling. India has also proposed a G20 Critical Minerals Circularity Initiative.   The G20 must display both understanding and leadership to keep energy markets open & predictable. It must widen access to finance and advance storage, small modular reactors, green hydrogen and bio fuels.

The Union Cabinet, under the leadership of PM @narendramodi, has approved: ✅ The Khelo India Sports Goods Manufacturing Scheme with an outlay of Rs 1,857 crore, to boost domestic sports equipment production, increase exports, generate employment and reduce import dependence. ✅ A 3% hike in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief, benefiting over 1.17 crore Central government employees & pensioners. ✅ The Container Manufacturing Promotion Scheme with an outlay of Rs 10,000 crore, to expand domestic container manufacturing capacity nearly tenfold, boosting local production and reducing dependence on imports. ✅ The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Gram Swaraj Yojana with an outlay of Rs 7,395.55 crore to strengthen grassroots governance and enable more effective rural development planning. #CabinetDecisions
