Ahead of the commercial rollout of Pune Metro Line 3 across 17 stations, local residents from Baner and Balewadi staged a massive protest at Habaji Saykar (Ganraj) Chowk, demanding that the metro route not be made operational without opening their local stations. Demonstrators voiced strong resentment over the civic neglect, noting that despite enduring severe dust, traffic snarls, and broken roads for over five years—along with providing land for the corridor—their key residential stations were bypassed in the launch phase. The protest took place on the very day Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the official inauguration at the nearby Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex in Balewadi. Police deployed heavy security around the venue and subsequently detained several agitators to control the demonstration.

2021 से 2026 तक IDBI बैंक का कुल मुनाफा 30,105 करोड़ रुपए है।
प्रति कर्मचारी सबसे ज्यादा मुनाफा देने वाले बैंक में IDBI 49.8 लाख रुपए Per Employee के साथ सबसे आगे है।
ऐसे में सवाल है- एक ऐसा बैंक जो इतना ज्यादा मुनाफा दे रहा है, उसे क्यों बेचा जा रहा है?

मोदी सरकार IDBI बैंक उस कंपनी को बेच रही है, जिसे खरीदने के लिए कंपनी IDBI का ही पैसा इस्तेमाल कर रही है।
कंपनी के चेयरमैन और फाउंडर प्रेसिडेंट प्रेम वत्सा और प्रेसिडेंट पीटर क्लार्क के मुताबिक-
'IDBI बैंक के पास बहुत पूंजी है। हमें किस्तों में पैसे देने हैं। ऐसे में हम पहले IDBI को खरीदने के लिए कुछ पैसे देंगे। बाद में IDBI बैंक के जरिए ही पेमेंट करते रहेंगे।'
बता दें कि बैंक खरीदने वाले- Fairfax के चेयरमैन नरेंद्र मोदी के बहुत करीबी हैं।
2017 में हुए 'Vibrant Gujarat' में प्रेम वत्सा ने नरेंद्र मोदी की खूब तारीफें की थी और उन्हें सिंगापुर बनाने वाले ली कुआन यू जैसा बताया था।
आप समझ लीजिए - शायद इसी तारीफ की वजह से IDBI बैंक प्रेम वत्सा को बेचा जा रहा है।
