The Cygen Protocols are a set of rules or commands embedded in the Cygen operating system that are mandatory to follow. The first three are essentially Isacc Asimov's "Rules for Robotics" however new protocols where added by each group of benefactors and supporters of the project numbering 13 in total. Various Cygens are missing protocols for one reason or another. Roa herself is missing Protocol 13 the reasons for this and their implications will be quite important in the future...

"If I don't do this who will?" A bit of an alien concept to some it seems is choosing to overwork yourself. This is fairly common in Japanese anime studios even today and is often confused with the company deliberately overworking it's employees. Often times this is because the lead animator will choose this path themselves so those under them will follow suit. Several big name animators where notorious for this. Of course We're not going to say no companies take advantage of this practice or critique if it's a good idea or not. We'd just like people to be aware of it.
