Critical PHP vulnerabilities to be disclosed tomorrow: php.net/archive/2026.php. We're working directly with the PHP Foundation to get patched PHP versions into our base images for Laravel Cloud, Forge, and Vapor ASAP. You may need to redeploy your apps at that time to use these patched versions, but we're also working on the ability to silently patch applications without needing a redeployment. All customers have been emailed and we will be providing further updates via email as the situation evolves.

Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

I don’t really believe in “porting” Laravel to Rust, Go, TypeScript, or anything else, and I wouldn’t describe my Rust experiments that way. I’m treating it as a chance to experiment with something spiritually similar to Laravel: strong conventions (for agents), full-stack solutions to common web development needs, and familiar APIs, but designed from first principles around what makes sense in that language, and in a world where humans no longer read or write code by hand. Some features of classical Laravel wouldn’t make it into a Rust / Go / TypeScript version at all, and I’d solve some problems in entirely different ways. A blind “/goal port this to Rust” is naive imo. It misses the point and it misses the opportunity.

Laravel tip. For tests, use the same DB engine that you plan to use on production. If you plan to use MySQL or PostgreSQL, don't run tests on SQLite. Create a separate dedicated DB. In most cases syntax is the same, but if there's a difference, debugging won't be pleasant.
