After working super hard for the last week and a half I passed my public order public safety commanders course today! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Today I took my team out for mental health at work awareness training! It was so important so get some fresh air whilst tackling this sensitive topic. Lucky to live and work here!
Fantastic first day at the senior women’s policing conference! Surrounded by powerful role models! Thank you @DC_Police for allowing me to come and learn!
We have had this mobile phone handed in at Barnstaple police station. It was found in the Pilton area. Please pop to the station today if it’s yours. @NorthDevonNews

Today I am remembering Nicola & Fiona.
Who paid the greatest price.
Rest peacefully you brave, beautiful human beings…
Anyone who is public order trained does it voluntarily! Makes me very proud of officers who take this role up!
We had excellent support from the dog section last night! PSU officers felt really supported last night!
PD Goose was recalled to duty last night along with other @PoliceDogDorset PDs due to violence and disorder in #Weymouth. All the dogs showed great courage and maintained order. #policedogs #GSD #PublicOrderUnit #dorsetpolice
Really proud of my colleagues this weekend protecting the public so well across the country! Devon and Cornwall officers supported neighbouring forces with mutual aid! I’m a very proud PSU Commander for the bravery I have witnessed this week from the officers I have worked with!
A very sad day saying goodbye to one of my dear team! Gone but never forgotten! 💙

Beautiful dogs! Thoughts are with the families and colleagues of these brave sweet animals! I hope for justice under Finns law!
It has been a truly heartbreaking week, from the vicious assault on PD Quga (Merseyside Police) to the tragic passing of PD Zyla (Leicestershire Police) in the line of duty. We're reminded of the courage, bravery and selfless acts which are undertaken by the nation's heroic police dogs everyday.
The suspects connected to both incidents have been arrested under Finn’s Law - named after the late RPD Finn, who campaigned for better protection for service animals after being stabbed in the line of duty and who later became the Thin Blue Paw Foundation’s ambassa-dog. This law allows the police to arrest and charge suspects for causing unnecessary suffering to a service animal.
The Thin Blue Paw Foundation stands strongly by all police dogs across the UK, and will continue to not only campaign for greater protection, but to celebrate their service and most importantly be there for them during their retirements.
We'd urge all to pause for a minute silence today, to remember the life and service of PD Zyla. You will forever be in all of our hearts. 🌈🐶💙🇬🇧
Incredibly proud of our response teams across Devon and Cornwall ! They work so hard and are dedicated to serving the public!
