Young people should be helping to develop mental health services, so I was thrilled to see this story in the Daily Record about a young man who expressed his anger about the lack of provision through a poem and is now setting up services in school. Rant and roll!!

OK, so I've never actually watched rugby league and have no idea of how it differs from rugby union but great news that next year's rugby league world cup will run mental health workshops for 8,000 players and their families. #mentalhealth

The NHS is asking gambling firms to stop incentivising gambling. The UK has called time on bets using credit cards and the Gambling Commission is investigating a plan to show FA cup matches on betting sites, but we need to do more. In some cases it's a matter of life and death.

Interesting to hear about the 7% increase in knife crime, but sad to hear that more young people are being given longer jail sentences, even for a first offence. Is jail really an appropriate and effective deterrent? I'm not so sure. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51136699
