So I had a date scheduled with a guy. He didn’t send any confirmation or reservation details, but nonetheless it was planned. The day of comes and my furnace literally blew up as I was getting ready 🙃 so I had to call for an emergency technician to come out.

Watching my sons learn to write has explained a lot about why good writing is rare. They're both convinced they have to produce bloated word salad when writing essays in school, and that if they wrote simply and clearly they'd get bad grades. The sad thing is they may be right.

I have aphantasia. The other day I was describing it to my wife and she was like "wdym see images in your head it's just a metaphor you dum dum". Well, this is how she learned she has aphantasia as well. It's been three days and she's interrogating all our friends and extended family and still can't get over the fact that people are able to just close their eyes and see images. She's an artist an a graphic designer btw
