Keisha Jordan, President and CEO of @CSFPhiladelphia, said it best:
“We know this program could fund more than $1 billion of scholarships if only 15% of eligible Pennsylvania taxpayers participate. What a huge impact this could have across the Commonwealth”
Expanding opportunities, empowering parents and putting kids first. 💪
“Our success tomorrow depends on the students we educate today.”
Deacon Abhi Samuel, President and COO of @bpue_org, called on Pennsylvania to participate in the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program, highlighting an opportunity to empower parents and put kids first! 🧑🧑🧒🧒
As @SenTonyWilliams said, the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program provides “measurable results to individual families who want to do best by their children… that’s what this program will do without taking a cent of public dollars.”
This is an opportunity that will benefit Pennsylvania families and give students the resources to succeed, regardless of where they go to school. 🎒🏫

Here's the domino effect. 🎯
A state opts in. A donor makes a charitable contribution to a qualified scholarship granting organization. A family gets options they didn't have before. That's the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program in motion, starting in 2027.
See it in action:
A student's ZIP code shouldn't decide their options. 🎓

The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service issued proposed regulations to implement the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit under section 25F, commonly known as the Education Freedom Tax Credit, the first federal tax credit supporting private contributions for K-12 scholarships.
Under the proposed regulations, eligible taxpayers may claim an annual credit of up to $1,700 for qualifying contributions, or up to $3,400 for married couples filing jointly. Treasury and the IRS also issued companion temporary regulations to establish key procedures for states and Scholarship Granting Organizations to prepare for the launch of the tax credit on January 1, 2027.
The proposed regulations advance the Administration’s priorities of expanding educational freedom, restoring parental rights, returning power to the states, and putting American students first.
