The news is out! In an historic and nearly unanimous vote, we have authorized a strike.
We voted YES to go on strike! HarperCollins workers deserve fair wages and better protections. Since the company won't take us seriously at the bargaining table, our membership has voted by an overwhelming majority of 99.5% in support of a one-day strike. When will publishers start investing in their in house staff? Hire enough ppl to actually handle the gargantuan workload that they profit off of? Things are at critical mass here. Employees are struggling, burning out, while those who can actually do something ignore it.
