The proposed OSHA updates eliminate mandatory medical evaluations for filtering facepiece respirators such as N95s and loose-fitting PAPRs, while STREAMLINING substance-specific standards to reduce duplicative requirements and administrative burdens on employers. It’s not getting rid of them, it’s just updating the requirements to eliminate COVID Era duplicate regulations.
