Irons Watch ⚒️

Kyle Walker-Peters’ injury is worse than initially feared. The defender suffered a muscle strain and was assessed today, with early indications suggesting he could be sidelined for 5–6 weeks. Another significant blow for Nuno.

🚨 MORE: The hierarchy are also understood to be less than impressed with some of this summer’s recruitment. Adama Bairo has seriously struggled to contribute and has reportedly failed to show anywhere near enough in training. Fully expect this loan to be terminated in January. There is also disappointment over the impact of Nuno’s key targets, Engels and Solomon, with the club expecting considerably more from both. This is adding further pressure on Nuno, with questions now being asked about both performances and recruitment.

🚨 BREAKING: West Ham board hold meeting amid growing concerns over performances. All staff have reportedly been called into a meeting today, with the board understood to be “deeply concerned” by the team’s lack of ideas when chasing games and the style of football displayed in recent weeks. However, Nuno’s position remains 100% safe for now. Any potential managerial change is understood to be unlikely before the New Year at the earliest. The club have invested heavily in Nuno’s recruitment, including Pablo, Engels and Solomon, and there is a feeling that changing manager now could create further disruption.

West Ham have made initial contact over Jadon Sancho’s representatives, with first-round negotiations underway..

Bad news regarding Mavropanos injury incoming. The first indications look like 6-8 weeks out, but it could be worse.

West Ham will categorically NOT be signing a goalkeeper this January. There is an option to bring Alphonse Areola back in if required, but Mads Hermansen remains the club’s No.1. No plans to enter the market for a new goalkeeper.

There is serious behind the scenes conversations being had today. The club are NOT considering replacing Nuno yet, however there is a real realisation that getting out of this league may not be as easy as it first seemed. Reinforcement targets for January have already been set out. With a left back, striker and centre half the key areas identified. I expect at least 3 signings in January, with 2-3 leaving potentially on loan.

Terrible news to wake up to💔 Rest in peace to a West Ham legend🧤

Mexican film producer Juan José López Ordóñez has publicly come forward claiming he was kidnapped in Mexico City on 3 November 2024. According to López Ordóñez, the alleged incident was linked to a financial dispute surrounding a documentary he was producing about West Ham and Mexico international Edson Álvarez.

A very tough game but this is what the Championship is about. Bowen was brilliant today. Anyone who has been saying his “legs are gone” recently, I think you should take a long hard look at yourself!

Maybe there’s a reason they call him the Norweigen Messi… 🇳🇴

3-0 and a clean sheet. Job done for West Ham today ✅

Pablo has a knock and wasn’t deemed worth risking today

West Ham squad is complete… for now. Free agents are still being explored but the critical positions have been filled. West Ham were hopeful of 1 more striker in this window. It now appears Piroe will become more crucial as West Ham look to play 2 strikers every game.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Trabzonspor have had a second £20m offer for Richarlison rejected as negotiations continue in London. With the deal proving difficult, their attention is now turning towards West Ham forward Pablo as an alternative option!

Sevilla tried to loan Magassa yesterday with an obligation of £14m. It was rejected as we weren’t able to get another defensive midfielder in.

I’m being told (unconfirmed) that today’s announcement maybe be more than just Bairo….. 👀
