Q3 transparency report is live. TL:DR: 85% w/r., avg. return 18%. ROI down compared to our own historical standards, but overall results fantastic given market conditions and challenging trading env. Full Q3 trade log available announcements channel whop.com/b3t
Somebody say $CROX? They may be ugly, they pay the same green.
Oct. showed why buying time matters. We weathered many drawdowns & hold through pain - we knew we were right. Other groups? Annihilated. Wasn't pretty, but was a +19.3% month. Ironshell is built to take a hit.
(Just to rile the haters) So a few weeks ago, I shared an UHNW-only ISG Outlook doc from Goldman regarding where to position short-term money for Q4 with the kids over at @IronshellCap. Long document but the TL:DR was "buy shoes". Those guys scored a double on rubber footwear today.
Could I have shared it here? Sure. But the haters should have a poverty Christmas, and that won't happen if I help em out covering for their awful takes.
It's always the quiet groups that ultimately do the best. I can almost guarantee you these were the only guys playing frigging $CROX on FinTwit (as it were). But go give Mike Alfred $219 a month to lose you 30% since June :P.
Right, we're supposed to post here to like, market or something. As per usual, we're better traders than salesmen. We even have a loser to share for a change.

A subscriber asked for granular data today. Already about to do our quarterly transparency report, why not drill down?
This is what makes us stand out from the rest. We don't chase 2000% bangers. We just go up and to the right. Every month. 0 red months.

We try not to QT personalities because of what it invites, but got made aware of this one yesterday and will play. Bring the audit. We always do transparency reports anyways cause we have nothing to hide. 84% w/r in August. The Tortoise stands tall!

An example of needing to look deeper into numbers:
So this morning on The Diner w/ @NHAunleashed, at one point we got to talking about what a difficult few months this market has been overall and how I suspect very few people have been able to navigate it well and how I largely sat it out. I decided I wanted to dig deeper on this because, at a 2-second glance, August didn't LOOK like a difficult month - the S&P gained 2.7%, The N100 was up 4.2%, and breadth LOOKED strong across megacap and small caps.
And this is why looking deeper is important. August was a low index volatility, high individual equity volatility month. While the VIX fell from 16 to 14.92 and closed at near its lowest level of the year (which indicates a calm tape), the spread between $VIX and the CBOE constituent voaltility index ( $VIXEQ) hit an all-time high of 34.14 points. So you had individual equities at extremes while the index vol sat at a yearly low. Further, implied correlation was near the bottom (CBOE 1-month index was at ~10), meaning you had names within sectors moving independently rather than in unison. As if that weren't enough, sector dispersion widened by a huge margin - Energy 7% against Utilities -4.8% in the same month.
In layman's terms you had breadth coming to a bottom while indices were at all time highs, sector rotations weren't operating in parallel, and the VIX at lows. I promise you, there's not a book or video out there that prepares you for or teaches you how to navigate that, because it shouldn't happen. That is the literal definition of difficulty dialed to 11. Buy and hold investors didn't even notice August. Active traders, I promise you, got mauled by it. Even Non was talking about (remember, he likes to sell contracts against equity) how a bunch of his positions sold ended up going the wrong way and him needing to either make the choice to buy them back and take the hit to get it back later or let the equity go. Even that safe strategy was failing in August.
I've got access to an enormous amount of trading communities by virtue of everybody wanting me to give them a shoutout when this account started taking off a few years ago where I just went in, looked for a while, and largely either never said anything about them or tore them apart. I've got all the prominent names you see here from KC to Evan to Paper, Kevin to Quinn, Charlie to Mason etc. I'm gonna have my agent go through them tonight and look at their performance for the month. I think it's gonna be interesting, and I have a sneaking suspicion the numbers are going to be very bad for almost all of them.
TL:DR: If you got chewed up in August, I'm actually not gonna dump on you too hard - you'll have had plenty of company. This is the result of the Chaos Administration - pray that November adds sweet, sweet gridlock to the equation to normalize things.
Our swing timelines have gotten compressed due to the nature of the markets, but still just cruise along. From green tractors to neoclouds, we go where the money is. $DE $INTC $CRWV $MSFT

Right, supposed to update X. Been pretty quiet on the trade front the last couple weeks, few good setups. Which is why we haven't gotten wrecked like most others. And today while the market is crazy red, we're firmly green because we planned ahead.

We did not have that problem. Percentage wise, we probably finished top 1%.

No twitchy 15 second exits for scalps. No make-or-break moments measured in seconds. All we do is swing here, and I'd put our returns against any other community.
Here's this morning's harvest

Market dangerous today? Guess it depends who you ask. Seemed easy over here (we did wave the white flag on a long-term swing that just wasn't getting where it needed to go. We don't hide L's, they're just rare)
2 years, 0 losing months. It's not luck.

I don't do it as often as I used to, but occasionally give a trade in the free chat.
This one will have paid for a year of all of our tools with just one contract. We're happy to have kind people who like talking shop in our free tier. Check it out.

Goes without saying the market has been brutal lately. Know how you counteract that as an options trader? You buy time. We were able to patiently wait through the drawdown and manage the trades in order to achieve success while everyone else got blown up

Worth noting, we did take a loss this week though, finally raising the white flag on an $ARMG trade that didn't work. Technical difficulties in getting the bot to show us the return, though.
OD's and weeklies are exciting, but we prefer making money. Slow and steady wins the race; 0 losses from 4/22-7/16. 101 trade winning streak through a choppy market, exclusively w/ swings. Understanding more than charts matters. Built to take a hit.

Play the chop if you want, we're gonna stick with up and to the right, slow and steady winning the race

Opened up the server for a free trial for the week. Access to everything - query bots, monitoring bots, even Sentinel-AI (a proprietary on-demand market analyst I haven't marketed) FREE this week. Everything but the curated trade channel. Give us a try.

We're on a 75 trade win streak now. Marketers say lean into that, but it's just a streak. What I'm most proud of? We just did a complete audit of our history, & here are the results, sustained over 2 years. Reliable consistency & growth > streaks. Try us. whop.com/b3t
Today we tied our all-time win streak (72) and then a few minutes later broke it to 73 (and counting). We haven't had a losing trade since April, though there have been some close calls. Up and to the right. Tortoise, not the hare. Built to take a hit.
